Jeetendra and Rekha had gotten involved with each other prior to signing the film. In those days Jeetendra was going steady with Shobha, but fooling around with Mumtaz and Rekha. Rekha was able to get Jeetendra a few films due to her signing a couple of South productions. During the shooting of the film, Jeetendra was standing with a few friends gossiping loudly about Rekha. Jeetendra was degrading Rekha calling her character loose and saying she was a good time pass girl. Saying these type of girls are only good for one thing. Jeetendra went on to describe what exactly he had been doing with Rekha on regular basis. Rekha was standing near by and heard the entire conversation. She left the sets crying not reporting to the shooting for a long week.
