Mike & Maty

I used to watch this show either before I left for school or when I got back. I thought it was funny, and they had pleasantly canned personalities. But I think the main reason that I watched was because of my attraction to Maty. I was 12 and she must have been in her 30s. Hey, boys can have crushes too.

I Watched this Show almost Daily just because I had a Super Crush on the Super Hot Matty!!! But Show was actually laid back and really good too!!! Mike was actually a funny guy too. And Matty of course was the resident hottie. And they had nice chemistry that played back with one another. So much chemistry that I Actually thought that they were a real couple for a long time? lol. Which made me Happy til I found out that Matty actually did have a real husband on the side! Ouch lol. But I watched it. Cause was a Morning Show but not too Early Morning of a Show it played at 10:00 here in Chicago. So was at a Nice Time Spot for me. And Show had Upbeat Fun Topics in it. They just had a lot of fun with it, not too many serious moments involved in it. I think that it Truly should have been given more life to its Existence on Television. It was a little Show that could have been still around til this day if the Network had given it more time to grow? But at least I still have my Memories of Matty to guide me through life. Glad to see that She has found a home on Cable TV somewhere!!!

It says 94-96? So i would have been barely into my teens then. My grandmother died in 91. Ive been searching for years to find a particular episode. My aunt was on one where she did my grandmothers pie recipe. I had it recorded on vhs bt i lost it ages ago. I was wondering if anyone could help. I figured it was such an obscure show and so long ago it would be impossible. It was her birthday yesterday, her deathiversary is coming up in a few months id love to make it for my daughter. Please, anyone. I dont know where else to look.

I too was in love with Maty and watched this show every chance I got. I thought that Mike was super cool too, always cracking everybody up. I still catch myself singing the theme song sometimes, "Rise and Shine, it's a beautiful day in America, so call your neighbor and grab a cup of coffee, it's time to watch the Mike and Maty Show...The Mike and Maty SHOW!" I spent one whole summer vacation planning my days around Mike and Maty. I'm always talking about this show and almost nobody has any idea what I'm talking about, but whenever I do meet somebody else who has seen the show, they invariably love it too! This was probably my all time favorite talk show!!

I liked the show. Was probably around 21 at the time. Watched before work I guess. Wonder what happened to Maty? Remember the white tight pants she would wear? Was she hispanic?

Nice show with a light-hearted set. Just fun. Not all the fake seriousness of today's GMA and Today.

And Regis is great, but I don't get the pairing with Kelly Ripples. Well, guess I do- catch the older and younger of all demographic.

Was it just me, or was there an inordinate amount of crafty type thins they did? Maybe moms watched it and thats when I saw it...I don't really remember. With 50 hours work per week and another 20 hours school plus a little social tyme, no wonder I remember so little. But I DO remember those pants...
