Two Minutes, Two Awards: Go Figure
This actually won two awards; not exactly Oscars, but they won something at two small film festivals in 1999. I wonder the competition looked like.
If you enjoy two minutes of a catchy song sung by super singers and profound lyrics, repeated over and over while watching a man in a gorilla suit dive at and punch a man in a robot suit, who is doing the same, this film is for you!! There's more, such as a dramatic scene off a rooftop, but I don't spoil it.
Personally, I don't understand why films like Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings (the first one) got so much publicity when movies like this are out there. It must be who you know that brings fame in the film business.
"Monkey Versus Robot" is written and performed by James Kochalka, who labels himself a "superstar" on the ending credits. Who could argue?
