Entertainment -news -music -information program, originating in Studio 41, Grand Central Terminal CBS studio, with Walter Cronkite as "anchor man," Charles Collingwood, news reporter; Bil and Cora Baird and their puppets, with several developed especially for the show. The program format includes news of the world, music and entertainment, current events commentaries, interviews with interesting and newsworthy people in all fields, information on all phases of living, live remote broadcasts of important events and weather reports via a new electronic board -map. The program provides for five-minute local station cut-ins at the end of each half-hour.
