Oi arithmimenoi

I thankfully stepped on it on TV today, while zapping. It is a "hitech" movie. In such movies, the first thing I notice is how naive they are in their presentation of technological subjects (I usually find out to my disappointment after watching some minutes of a similar film that the majority is). On the contrary, I didn't notice particular flaws, except of course the exaggeration of certain facts for cinematic reasons (I later saw in the credits section that their tech consultant was a renowned Greek computer magazine, that explains it). Additionally, it has remarkable performances (I particularly liked Spyros Fotis), decent action (extremely rare for a Greek movie) and a smart, well worked plot with unexpected twists. The philosophy of this movie is closer to American than European cinema, which makes it an interesting exception, but the lack of budget needed for this kind of movie is too obvious to put it in the same league. Still I was pretty much surprised, as would be any Greek viewer used to local cinema standards. I don't know how it did abroad (if it was released abroad that is), but I recommend it if you happen to find it.
