I would heavily recommend it to anyone who would just like to laugh at a movie that you really don't have to pay attention to, though you won't be able to take your eyes off of it. It's got a certain draw to it.
It is riddled with little jokes in the background which make for good re-viewing enjoyment. I've seen it numerous times and every time I watch it I notice something I hadn't before. Good movie, and a hell of a lot more entertaining than 8 Mile. Of course, it also helps to have an open mind when watching it. Most people that don't like it just don't want to like it and nit pick. But overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
In short, this movie certainly isn't for everyone, but I urge everyone to see it, if not for your love of all things Psychopathic, then for your love/distaste for all things horrendously entertaining/appalling. Much clown love to all, and keep runnin' with the hatchet, mutha facko!
The plot basically amounts to ruthless drug lord versus smooth renegade cop, an obvious parody of the blaxploitation cliché. The execution is certainly quite a bit more ambitious than what you'd expect from a movie made by musicians, especially considering the band's only two members don't appear on screen together until the last quarter of the movie. Since both the villain and the protagonist both wear face paint during all scenes of the picture, you can expect a great deal of heavy-handed silliness. However, when the plot turns serious, you care about the characters without things becoming corny or over done. There are still obvious complaints, arising primarily from poor acting, which isn't surprising. On the other hand, the underlying quality of this film is surprising, and makes it worth a view when you're in the mood for a cult film that is strangely entertaining.
Shaggy 2 Dope plays Sugar Bear, a rhyming parody of Dolemite. He teams with police chief Johnny Brennan (Jerky Boys) to go after the biggest gangsta in Detr...New York, Big Baby Sweets played by Violent J. Big Baby has a whole team of thugs including, Big Stank and Lil Poot (played by fellow rappers Twiztid), Bootleg Greg (Rerun Berry), and Hack Benjamin (Jumpsteady-Violent J's brother).
Sugar Bear must defeat them all with the help of whiny partner Harry Cox (Harlan Williams), and that's no easy task. But they're up for the job, especially when trained by Dolemite himself!!! See the action...see the excitement...see the big breasts!!! Go see Big Money Hustlas today!
MMFCL to all--this movie gets a 10 out of 10 from the Dallas down south Juggalo.
But it's ONLY 4 JUGGALOS! Don't you dare watch this movie if you aren't a fan of ICP.
And if you are, there's enough Clown Love for everyone!
