[opening narration]
Narrator: Dune: The Building Of A Dynasty. The planet Arrakis, known as Dune. Land of sand; home of the Spice Melange. The Spice controls the Empire. Whoever controls Dune controls the Spice. The Emperor has proposed a challenge to each of the Houses.
Emperor: The House that produces the most Spice will control Dune. There are no set territories and no rules of engagement.
Narrator: Vast armies have arrived. Now, three houses fight for control of Dune. The noble Atreides, the insidious Ordos, and the evil Harkonnen. Only one house will prevail. Your battle for Dune begins... now.

Cyril, Atreides Mentat: Greetings, I am your Mentat Cyril. Together we will purge this planet of the foulness of the other Houses.

Radnor, Harkonnen Mentat: I am the Mentat, Radnor. With my guidance, you may be able to assist us in conquering this dusty, little planet.

[End #1: Atreides victory]
Cyril, Atreides Mentat: Good Morning, your lordship, and congratulations! You have served House Atreides well. We will not soon forget our most noble warrior! I go now to relay the news of your most glorious victory, and deliver your terms to the Emperor.
[at the Emperor's palace, Cyril and several Atreides soldiers stand before the Emperor]
Cyril, Atreides Mentat: Greetings, Emperor.
Emperor: [frowns] What is the meaning of this intrusion?
Cyril, Atreides Mentat: You are formally charged with crimes of treason against House Atreides. The House shall determine your guilt or innocence.
[the Emperor gasps in fear]
Cyril, Atreides Mentat: Until then, you shall no longer reign as Emperor.
[the Emperor bows his head in despair and submission]

[End #3: Ordos victory]
Ammon, Ordos Mentat: Good Morning, your lordship, and congratulations! You have served House Ordos well. We will not soon forget our most noble warrior! I go now to relay the news of your most glorious victory, and deliver your terms to the Emperor.
[at the Emperor's palace, Ammon and three Ordos stand before the Emperor. Among them is a woman holding a chained bristled beast]
Ammon, Ordos Mentat: You are aware, Emperor, that we have grown weary of your games.
Emperor: [frowns, feigning innocence] What games? What are you talking about?
Ammon, Ordos Mentat: I am referring to your game of chess.
[the beast snarls menacingly at the Emperor, trying to get loose]
Ammon, Ordos Mentat: We were your pawns and Dune was your board.
[again, the beast snarls and tries to get loose]
Emperor: We have decided to take matters into our own hands.
[the Emperor gasps in fear]
Ammon, Ordos Mentat: You are to be our pawn, in our game.
[as the woman starts to untie the beast, the Emperor bows his head in despair and submission]

[End #2: Harkonnen victory]
Radnor, Harkonnen Mentat: Good Morning, your lordship, and congratulations! You have served me, I mean House Harkonnen, well. Our House will not soon forget our most noble warrior! I go now to relay the news of your most glorious victory, and deliver your terms to the Emperor.
[at the Emperor's palace, Radnor and one armed Harkonnen soldier stand before the Emperor]
Radnor, Harkonnen Mentat: You are, indeed, not entirely true to your word, Emperor. You have lied to us.
Emperor: [frowns, feigning innocence] What lies? What are you talking about?
Radnor, Harkonnen Mentat: Your lies of loyalty! Your deceit! A crime for which you will indeed pay dearly... with you life!
[the Emperor gasps in fear]
Emperor: [pleading] No! No! Nooo!
[Radnor points at the Emperor. The Harkonnen soldier shoots and kills the Emperor. Radnor points at the Emperor's advisor, and the soldier kills him, too. The large purple jewel above the throne falls on the floor and shatters to pieces]
