"Uno que ha sido marino" (One who's been a sailor) is another fair and hilarious Eugenio Retes's story, told once more from the romantic José Bohr's view.
This is a movie about a couple of tramps, Zepeda (Retes) and Silvano (Arturo Gatica), and their dreams about making money and get a better status. Once more time, Retes's lines and performance are superb. There isn't only the gags what makes this film a very remarkable one, but its message about what really matters in life, that is, human relationships rather than money. Retes immortal line in this movie (and he keeps repeating it through the whole film) is the title: "One who's been a sailor". But only Retes himself knows if he ever was a sailor indeed... A must-see!
