Un hombre violento

With music from "Los Cadetes de Linares" and with Valentin Trujillo, Mario Almada, Rafael Inclán, Maribel Guardia and Victoria Ruffo (actors with a lof of years of experience), this movie is one of the best films from the director. With scenes filmed in Monterrey and (mostly) Durango.

The problems present in most of the movies of Valentin Trujillo: edition and dubbing, are in this movie as well. But the last scene with Mario Almada, it is worth the whole movie.

at the time that I saw this movie, Mexico and the great majority of Mexicans were turning their backs to Mexican productions...

However Valentin Trujillo continue working trying to improve his productions even with his limitations of financial aid... He did this movie, Un Hombre Violento, and other movies with a lot of heart, and little money... But where ever he is, as you may know, he died last May 4th, 2006.

Other movies that I really recommend you to watch are, Perro Callejero 1 and 2, Ratas de la Ciudad, Rojo Amanecer and others...

Un Hombre Violento tells the story of a young man and his little brother that live with their gambling addicted father, when in a horse race he wins to a bad loser, their father gets killed by this person. The young man, is not the typical, hero of a movie, in fact he is even scared when he encounters the killer of his father.... Well... Please see it and judge it yourself.

This movie was one of my first exposures to Mexican ultraviolet exploitation. This is an amazing story and gritty action. The story is about 2 brothers Julian Carrera(Trujillo) and his kid brother grow up with their degenerate gambler father, mom is nowhere in sight as far as they know she abandoned them. One day the father wins big gambling and is murdered Julian is bent on revenge. And soon realizes that violence only breeds more violence as he tries to do the right thing to keep his brother on the right path death is pacing one step behind him at every turn, ultimately leading To the films bloody climax and confronting his mother and the ugly truth about his father.
