Not sure where the comedy was in this (maybe I missed it?) but "The Key to Sex" is a pretty good 90's softcore movie that benefits from the casting of the prolific Monique Parent, Jacqueline Lovell and Jeannie Millar.

The "key" appears to be the one to a Malibu mansion where all the excitement - if you know what I mean - takes place. Some memorable scenes, but the plot is kind of silly. Not that we watch these movies for the plot, naturally.

Interesting to see the movie posters for other similar movies on the walls of the studio office scenes. Talk about cross promotion!

This is one of those made for cable or direct-to-video things. Maria Ford has a better character than she did in _I Like to Play Games Too_, but that's not saying much. Monique Parent gets a lot more screen time than the other players, but she looks tired, just going through the motions. Jeannie Millar is in my opinion one of the sexiest women ever to appear on film, and shows a lot of promise as an actress, but this picture just doesn't give her much to do. Her one, brief sex scene is the highlight of the picture.

Low level male office assistant is tasked with watching his rich boss's mansion while the boss is away on business. The mansion becomes the focal point for several sex scenes. The women (Maria Ford, Jeannie Millar, Jacqueline Lovell, and Monique Parent) are all very hot. Maria Ford and Monique Parent get the best scenes. Jeannie Millar is unfortunately underused, but her one scene is very good.

A couple of minor things that I had problems with. There are several times where it felt like something more explicit had been censored out. I just chalk it up to bad editing since so many other scenes are far too explicit for this to be R rated. Also, there is a lesbian scene involving Jacqueline Lovell and another girl that is completely ruined because we see the whole thing from the viewpoint of a handheld camcorder. To screw up a Jacqueline Lovell lesbian scene like that is unforgivable.

But overall you are still left with a lot of really hot sex scenes.

This one is easy to recommend.

Wow. Maria Ford and Jeannie Millar star in this soft-core romp, another offering from the folks at Mystique/EROS. It opens with a gorgeous Jeannie Millar coming out of the pool, her white bikini top straining to contain her perfectly-shaped breasts. Of course, it's a battle it cannot win...from start to finish this movie delivers the eye-candy and a considerable amount of heat, along with high production values and great performances from the cast.

Maria Ford looks absolutely scorching in the role of Christy, the boss's horny girlfriend, and in her opening scene she receives not only some fine vaginal massage but some very convincing oral. Sara St. James (billed as Jaqueline Lovell) and Monique Parent also make appearances in this flick, as well as Penthouse Pet Mason Marconi (billed as Amber Herrel). The poolside romp between Maria and Mason is a classic, dripping of sensuality and some of the best simulated sex we've seen this side of "x".

Our only complaint is that Jeannie Millar wasn't used to her full potential. After her opening shots we were hoping to see a scorching scene, but her coupling with her boyfriend jerk proved disappointing in context with the rest of the film. Not her fault, this woman is extremely sexy; we just think the chemistry between her and the other actor was a bit "off". This flick is definitely on our hot list and well worth checking out, but you MUST get the unrated version.

If you're going to watch "The Key to Sex", make sure you watch the unrated version. It's pretty steamy! The erotic scenes are so well acted that you question if some of them are stimulated or real.

Popular B-Movie actress Maria Ford (Angel of Destruction, Deathstalker IV) is the appeal of the movie to me. I've always had an attraction to her since I first saw her in "Deathstalker IV". She was a staple of mid 1990s Roger Corman flicks. Jacqueline Lovell (Femalien) is the other well known name in this.

Simon watches over his bosses house while Alan is away. Everyone wants to use Alan's pad as their hookup spot. Lots of softcore action in this one. It's essential viewing for fans of Maria Ford or Jacqueline Lovell.

This is a spectacular hot sex movie. There's also room for comedy so there you go, a sui generis soft core porn movie with excellent performances and entertaining plot.

You can't go wrong with the amazing Maria Ford, the sensual and mysterious Jacqueline Lovell, and Monique Parent. The sex scenes are really well done and are also very graphic and steamy.

Maria Ford, of course, is the highlight of the movie with impressive sex scenes. The first one to be the best in my opinion. Her moans were really a turn on.

Jacqueline Lovell is also amazing as always and has decent amount of sex on screen time.

Please, watch this movie if you are into soft core sex movies. This is among the best ones I've ever seen. Also, the dialogs and situations are comical and worth your attention.

A soft core sex movie with brains. Delivers more than expected!

Of all the erotic films I've directed I'd have to say that "The Key to Sex" is one of my favorites. I had a gorgeous and talented cast starring; Maria Ford, Scott Carson, Jennie Millar, Monique Parent and Jacqueline Lovell. I got a clever and funny script from Chris Byrne, beautiful photography from Harris Done and a great musical score from Carl Schurtz. Plus I got tremendous producing support from Bill Burke and Eddie Holzman. All of us worked hard to make this an entertaining, funny and erotic film. And in my opinion, it is one of the best low budget erotic films out there.

I've been reading the IMDb comments and it seems a lot of people have enjoyed the film. As the director, I'm very pleased that so many people have a positive response to it.

There is one comment; however, that I'd like to clarify. It is the comment by some reviewers that the sex scenes are real. I'm referring specifically to the lesbian scene between Maria Ford and Amber Herrel that took place out by the pool. As with all of the erotic films I've directed or produced, none of the sex scenes are real. They're simulated! I just think it says a lot about Maria Ford's acting ability that so many people think she's really having sex. She's incredible talented and always delivers 100% in every scene she's in; whether it be comedic, dramatic or romantic. I'm sorry to disappoint those reviews who think she's really doing it, but guys, it's called "Acting".

Despite the comment below, I thought this was one of the better examples of the soft core genre; it has the lovely and sexy Jaqueline Lovell in it which in itself is worth taping it off cable TV (although not the $35.00 they want for the DVD).

The film has some of the best simulated sex I've ever seen in soft core, especially the girl/girl scenes which indeed may not be just simulated. Take a look and see if I'm right.

By the way I see where Ms. Lovell has taken time off to have a child. Congratulations to her and I hope to see her back in films

The "Key to Sex" is a very funny, cleverly written and directed film for the erotic genre. It is for people interested in something spicier than "Mary Poppins". Acting and production values are much better than most films in this budget range. There are two different versions available, an un-rated version and a "R" rated version. The "R" rated version has been a very strong rental favorite.

This movie definently lacked. I loved seeing this movie, but expected more. Jeannie Millar is the best thing in this movie. I was wondering about why it lacked and found out from a fellow reviewer that there is a un-rated version, I must have got the rated one. I advise getting the unrated or to not see it because you most definently will be let down.

This poorly written and even non-sensical movie is only blessed with some very graphic sex scenes. The so-called stars are overshadowed by the spectacularly beautiful and sexy Jeannie Millar. The scenes Ms. Millar are in including the opening dream scene are the main redeeming qualities of the movie. The lighting and photography of the sex scenes are of high quality as a plus. Overall 1 1/2 stars but Ms. Millar 4 stars.

I forgot if this movie had a plot or not. If it did have one, I must have missed it. Of course there's plenty of sex (as the title of the movie suggests), and it stars my favorite T&A movie babe, Monique Parent. She's been in a lot of these, and it shows....she looks kinda old in this one. Maybe it's the short hair...oh well. In one scene she does a little roleplaying with this guy, he being the master of the house and she playing the part of the naive french maid. Complete with a bad french accent and a skimpy maid's uniform, she prances through the house, "trying" not to be caught by the master. Of course he catches her and....well, you know the rest. That's about it, nothing else too special. Don't sit through the whole thing, but check out the scene I talked about if you want a laugh.
