The event will showcase new films by Polish directors Aga Woszczyńska, Lukasz Ronduda and Damian Kocur.

Additionally, there will be closed screenings of four completed Polish films.

The Last of Us will deliver more firsts in Season 2 as HBO and Max content CEO Casey Bloys promises "bigger" things from the live-action video game adaptation and insists it will stay true to its source material.

Speaking with Deadline at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Bloys expressed optimism about Season 2's prospects and claims the upcoming sophomore season of The Last of Us will "follow the video game" as best as possible. Ahead of the beginning of principal photography for Season 2, Bloys praised show co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann as they plan for the next phase of the hit HBO post-apocalyptic series. “It's great. It is bigger, gets into questions of retribution and revenge, it follows the video game and has big themes, big action," he said. Bixby is Samsung's AI-based virtual assistant that's baked into all its smartphones, including the flagship Galaxy S23 lineup. If NBC follows through on a proposal to ax its primetime programming at 10 p.m., an idea first floated last week, the move would be a dramatic concession to market realities that could reshape the broadcast industry amid the hard reality of streaming’s growing dominance.

“By taking out 10 o’clock, you’re starting to put a very big wave in the middle of your ecosystem,” Brian Frons, digital analyst and former president of ABC Daytime, told TheWrap.

Despite successful scripted series such as “New Amsterdam” and prolific producer Dick Wolf’s roster of reliable “Law & Order” and “Chicago” franchise series currently stationed in the 10 p.m. spot on two different nights, NBC executives have been mulling the possibility of handing that hour back to local stations to air programming of their choosing (and collect all the ad revenue from that hour).

NBC’s follow up program, a new game show called “Password,” also performed fairly well with a 0.5 and 3.9 million eyeballs, earning NBC the night’s ratings trophy.

NBC was first in ratings with an average 0.7 rating in the key demo and in total viewers with an average of 5.6 million, according to official live + same day Nielsen data.

“America’s Got Talent” fought its way to a 0.7 demo rating and 6.4 million total viewers at 8 p.

Fox News again topped the monthly ratings, as The Five topped in total viewers and Tucker Carlson Tonight won the adults 25-54 demographic in August.

The network saw a 4 rise in total-day viewership, while it said that its late-night show Gutfeld! saw its highest-rated month since its April 2021 launch, with 2.19 million viewers.

MSNBC, meanwhile, saw an uptick in its total day and primetime viewers for the month versus last year, while all the major cable news networks saw a fall-off in the demo.

One of the biggest news stories during the month was the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago, driving plenty of Donald Trump commentary on Fox News and MSNBC.

The biggest debut of the month was Alex Wagner Tonight, taking over the 9 Pm Et slot from Rachel Maddow on Tuesdays through Fridays. Wagner’s show debuted with 2 million viewers on August 16, but, with a fall-off after that, ended up averaging 1.55 million viewers.

But while the Pythons' greatest film (gauntlet thrown down!) omitted a plot, their skits were still tied together by the most timeless of through lines: the trials of human life, presented in chapters like "The Miracle of Birth," "Middle Age" and "Death." Furthermore, 1971's "And Now For Something Completely Different," a re-filmed compilation of greatest hits from the first two pioneering seasons of "Monty Python's Flying Circus," is arguably the silver medalist of its kind, and good luck coming up with a third film that actually deserves the bronze.

The cold, hard truth is that sketch comedy movies are nearly impossible to pull off, and most are doomed to fail the test of time.
