very entertaining vaudeville

Guy Lefranc directed his two first movies with Louis Jouvet, which were his last two movies. Guy Lefranc asked Jouvet not to play too much Jouvet in the famous Knock (which Jouvet had played for 27 years), and Jouvet appreciated his young new way of working. Three years later, Guy Lefranc worked with Noël Noël on "le fil à la patte" from Georges Feydeau's play. And the duo Noël Noël - Suzy Delair (nearly 102 this year) is explosive with many big laughs as all actors are involved in this light vaudeville. And there are a few scenes with Bourvil as Mr Bouzin. Not to be missed if you like explosive french comedies from golden years.
