Snapped? Photographed? Pushed beyond the breaking point? Insane? You decide.

This film tells the story of three disaffected youths in the Hamptons. One has a dead end job in a coffee shop and is on the run after mistakenly stealing a bag of money from a small time criminal. The second is his sometime-girlfriend, a photographer obsessed with dead things. The third is a young man who works in a photo shop (where he steals interesting photos) while he avoids calls from his brother in an asylum and tries to sell the family home.

As the story develops, the viewer keeps thinking, `This is not going to end well.' How it ends would be telling, but the film is consistently interesting and worth the viewing. By the end one cares about the outcomes, seemingly more than the characters involved.

Simply Beautiful

In a world of overdramatized Hollywood crap, Snapped stands alone as a stirringly beautiful yet down-to-earth film. With a plot as subtle as its camerawork, Snapped takes a look at a group of people, and how their lives and photography intermingle. This should be viewed, equally for its artistic quality as for a change from the type of film that will inevitably come out of the Hollywood machine.

I first saw the film back in the late 90s and fell in love with it instantly. I was reminded of many of the wild antics I had growing up. We once burned many of our toys on a dock in the Hamptons. Watching Tara burn art creations and send them away on the water had me thinking back.

the film touches on many aspects of growing up, felling lost and directionless, and what it means to become an adult. I highly recommend it. Search on Vimeo for it if this link does not work.

Intelligent insight to young adulthood

I just saw this film. It's a very interesting piece of work. There were some great camera angles and the acting was decent. I especially liked the way flashbacks were portrayed. Snapped is definitely worth seeing.

A movie of epochal proportions

After viewing this film it instantly became one of my favorite movies of all time. Finally a movie to give all that mainstream fodder a run for it's money. Amazing performances by a fresh young cast, especially that of David Wheir. This movie is at times incredibly hilarious, but also dark and thought provoking. See this movie.
