If you want to know why women do the things they do, this film might give you an insight into why it happens.
Eve is married to Adam (watch out for the biblical refs.) and is unable to conceive. Eve actually "conspires" to get pregnant and the film is about her resolve to have a baby. Nice film to watch on a lazy sunday afternoon.

I just watched this film on the Lifetime Movie Network. Corinne Bohrer and Mo Gaffney are absolutely fabulous! ;) For an indie low budget film, this is a great production with an totally engaging story. I can imagine with a more substantial budget this film would have been a theatrical success. Film does a really wonderful job portraying the emotional and physical roller coaster women endure when they are faced with the challenges of starting a family. Finally, a film about infertility that isn't a total downer. The writer and director obviously have experienced this subject matter because the story is heartfelt. Jonathan Penner in perhaps his best role ever! The fertility statue scene was priceless! Also, loved the music. Did I detect Ursula 1000? Cool!!!
What a jewel. Don't remember this is the movie theatre. It was terrific and hit home for a lot of us. Done in a very very funny way. We loved every moment of it. And wish that those couples who are trying to have a baby not miss it. It says a lot, means a lot and we have been there and done that. Have both biological children and adopted children. Just great!
On the wrapper, this show purports to be a fast paced comedy, however I found not one laugh in this slow documentary like film shot with an abundance of non-standard camera angles. Don't be mislead by the view angle of the wrapper photo or the text. Nothing like that is in the film. The director's comment on the DVD says the story was created from his wife's experiences trying to get pregnant with the aid of modern medicine. The journey is painted like one into the heart of darkness punctuated by obvious gags. The film may find empathy with those who have made the journey but I doubt even those individuals will laugh.
This film is very similar to "A SMILE LIKE YOURS" in that it deals with a couple trying to have a baby. Corinne is outstanding in her role as "EVE" and this should be considered her best work ever. The characters are well cast as is the film well acted. Eve's husband,"Adam", must have an incredibly well paying job as their house has to be seen to be believed. In all, a great film. And if you didn't know Corinne from her past films (STAR KID, DEAD SOLID PREFECT, POLICE ACADEMY 4, ETC) or her short lived TV show "FREE SPIRIT" (She starred as "Winnie the witch)and many other works, you WILL be a fan. Eleven stars from this hometown fan.
