It was a misguided film. What should have been about a woman who was suffering from the suicide of her husband became an unexplained flick about a psychopathic / atypical crazy girl.
When looking into the actual premise it's just a sad story about a woman who has early onset dementia and hysteria induced from the sudden death of her husband.
She becomes mislead by her own sense of reason and drifts from reality. I couldn't say that there was anything appealing about this movie if not for the intent of watching Heather Graham in a once in a life time performance.
Plus, me from 10yrs ago is now cackling like a child and saying that she makes out with Carrie-Anne Moss for a whole scene.

TERRIFIED stars BOOGIE NIGHTS's Heather Graham as a young woman who become "terrified" that someone is stalking her. It starts off pretty good, and fairly scary, but the last half is confusing and dumb. Graham isn't great, but there are signs that she will become a big Hollywood player, which she has.

I got hold of this film on DVD with the title Evil Never Sleeps, it gives front cover billing to Carrie Ann Moss, but she plays such a minor character that I didn't really notice her in the film.
I'm afraid that I consider this one of the worst purchases I have ever made. The dialogue was stilted and the delivery wooden, I found the acting to be disconnected from the plot. Graham's performance to me was of someone who's wondering whether she's left the gas on at home.
All in all both my wife and I found this film painful to watch, and it is not a valuable addition to my collection, watch it at your peril, but spending 90 minutes having your fingernails pulled out would probably be a better way to spend your time.

Evil might never sleep, but there's a bloody good chance of the viewer nodding off while watching this dreadful psychological thriller starring a pre-fame Heather Graham and featuring a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance by Carrie-Anne Moss (who is given top billing on the UK DVD cover!).
According to director James Merendino, "the movie is about passive aggressive misogyny destroying femininity in this country". In other words it's a pretentious pile of indie semi-art-house twaddle from a director with ideas way above his station. The dialogue is stilted, the performances awkward, and the narrative disjointed. Merendino commands dreadful performances from all involved and makes every scene as mundane as possible, directing in a style that can only be generously described as perplexing.

Honestly, this is a very funny movie if you are looking for bad acting (Heather Graham could never live this down... it has three titles for a reason- to protect the guilty!), beautifully bad dialog ("Do you like... ribs?"), and a plot only a mother could approve, this is your Friday night entertainment!
My roommate rented this under the title "Terrified" because he liked Heather Graham, but terrified is what we felt after the final credits. Not because the movie is scary, but because somebody actually paid money to make this turd on a movie reel.
Horrible movie. There are a few no-name actors that provide some unintentional comedy, but nothing worth viewing. Heather Graham's dramatic climax also was one of the most pathetic and disturbing things I have ever witnessed. I award this movie no point, and may God have mercy on its soul.

- QuizDirector James Merendino said the film was inspired by Roman Polanski's Repulsione (1965). "I sort of ripped it off."
