Majhdhaar is a story of friendship, innocence, love, relationships, and norms of Indian society. All of these above-mentioned elements are magnificently interwoven into a tragedy which is perfectly presented by the acting of Salman Khan and the direction of Esmayel Shroff.

I acknowledge some technical errors, which were afflicted due to the delayed post-production of this film but still, this film is poorly rated and miserably criticized. If you have a heart and soul, and you can see the world with a different perception then you will enjoy this film as a perfect voyage of time. Believe me, I have seen this film more than 20 times, and every time, it makes me realize the importance of friendship, harmony, and love in my life. It challenges me to make good decisions and amends the misjudgments and misunderstandings.

I was 10 years old when I watched this film for the very first time and from that moment on, I started to value the impact of friendships and memories in my life. Over the years, whenever I founded myself abandoned and demolished, I befriended Gopal (Salman Khan), he makes me laugh, he makes me cry, he taught me to be selfless, and positive towards life. He taught me to chase friends and emotions and kept aside materialism. He taught me to be vibrant about things in my life. Gopal was the teacher, who unravel the meaning of tragedy in my life and I recommended this film to my closed circle of friends and they really loved the ark of the story, the life lessons it has to unfold and the tragedy served in it.

Salman Khan lived the character of Gopal perfectly. To me, It was his one of the vastly under-rated role and film. It deserves recognition or at least a cult status for his heartwarming performance. Honestly, tears burst from my eyes, in various scenes of this movie especially "Gopal, Iss Duniya Mein, Lene Nahi Dene Aaya Hai Aur De Kar Jayega". It was an all-round performance from him.

Manisha Koirala, I adored her in the young days. She looks terrific, in the first portion of the film and acted brilliantly in the last portion of the film.

Rahul Roy was miserable, he looked out of shape, his dialogue delivery terrible, yet he was saved from the heartwarming performance of Salman Khan. Rajeev Verma was typical as Indian Dad, though he delivered some wonderful advice. Raj Babar was a big surprise and I really loved his cameo as Mohan Babu.

Music and background score is the soul of this film. Nadeem Sharavan has created a melody that will be timeless and purely aesthetic to the listeners. Aye Mere Dost Dosti ki Kasam is a wonderful tribute to the friendship, Humne Khamoshi se Tumhe and Saghar se Gehra Hai Pyar to Love and Taram Taram Taram Pa to fatherhood and Kya Zamaana Aagaya to Emotions and Main Iss Se Mohabbat Karta Ho to Fantasies and Bachke Meri Jaan to Awaara Gardi. The background score is purely aesthetic and It is my Mother, favorite musical album, she really loved these songs and we were grown up, listening to this album.

Salim Khan has written a story, which is brilliant and has all the elements of reality and life. It narrates the impact of the perfect storm of time and life and how it hit the human emotions and relations and how they got destroyed and parted by it. Esmayel Shroff justified to it with the classical take on the story, he kept the things simple and triggered emotions with beautiful locations as the backdrop.

It was released on 29th March 1996, just two days before when I stepped into this world. Maybe, that's why I build a connection and considered this a heartwarming tale of life and friendships.

If you're reading this review, forget about the low votes and 3.5 rating, watch this film and explore different genres of life. I guarantee you, it will teach you some wonderful lessons about life, friendships, and human emotions.

I saw this movie , and I can't imagine that why this movie is so underrated , this is really a good movie , and performance of each cast is also very good.

An underrated gem of Salman Khan, Manisha Koirala 👌

This film stars Rahul Roy, Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala. Krishna (Rahul Roy) and Radha (Manisha Koirala) fall deeply in love with one another and have an intimate encounter which result in Radha getting pregnant out of wedlock. Circumstances arise that prevent Krishna and Radha getting married.

In the midst of this is caught Gopal (Salman Khan), a dear friend of Krishna's who is also madly in love with Radha and wants to marry her as well. Radha doesn't know Gopal is in love with her because he never told his feelings towards her.

This chance coincidence of Radha getting pregnant, unknown to Gopal, leads Radha and Gopal to get married.

Radha gives birth to a baby girl, Shanti. Leaving the child with Gopal, Radha then leaves him, never to return. Gopal doesn't know that Shanti is the daughter of Krishna and not his.

This is a very controversial film that I have seen and I recommend this to film anyone who likes tragedies. The songs in the film are good with veteran playback singers: Mohammed Aziz, Udit Narayan, Vinod Rathod Kumar Sanu, S.P. Balasubramaniam, Pankaj Udhas & Alka Yagnik.

Veteran director Esmayeel Shroff (Nishchaiy, God and Gun, Tarkieb, Suryaa: An Awakening ) directed this film. This is his most controversial film along with Tarkieb.

All in all a good buy on DVD. An 8/10 score.

Every cinephile or bollywood movies lovers should watch this movie , this is one of the finest bollywood from 90s with excellent storyline and one of the underrated acting of salman khan.

The Salman Khan Name Is Enough Out And Out Salman Khan Show. On of Old Gem Movies.

This movie isn't a cringefest like most of the 90s Romantic Bollywood movies are but this movie is about friendship, Love and Sacrifice.

I wonder why is the movie so low rated,most of the people wouldn't even have bothered to watched it. Movie was a very delayed project and a low budget movie as well. It was released only on 20 Odd Screens without any sort of Promotions.

This movie went Totally unnoticed but has one of the finest performance by Salman Khan. He shows his amazing range as an actor. He makes you smile, Happy, Sad and Cry with his heart touching emotions portrayal. In emotional scenes this is one of his most grounded yet Realistic and amazing performance. He lives the character of Gopal and is the biggest plus of the movie.

Manisha looks amazing and Acts decently but I expected much better from her.

Rahul Roy is a let down in the film. He performs decently with Salman in some scenes but his character falls apart in other scenes. Still all his scenes with Salman looks good.

Overall a decent movie and much better than Cringeworthy overacting films of 90s.
