Feldman as a Michael Jackson clone, Haim as a new age nerd in this mildly entertaining sequel. (spoilers)

More like a nightmare

This movie has nothing to do with the original, except for the Cory/Cory factor. This movie reminds me of Zapped! Again where the kids get super-powers from magic prune juice. Except in this one it is magic sunglasses. There is no surprise that Lou Bonacki gets star billing in the credits as "guard" because he is probably the best actor in the whole film.

Why? This movie has no relation to the original

The first Dream a Little Dream movie is one of my absolute favorites! So I was pretty excited to watch this, but wow, what a disappointment. This movie only got a 3 because it has the two Coreys. I wouldn't recommend this flick

Huh?

What is this? This movie has nothing to do with the first one except the two main characters, All of a sudden Cory Feldman is dressed like Michael Jackson and Cory Haim tries to see how weird his hair can get in a movie. Truly a tragedy. I must admit, I am a fan of the two Corys but this movie is just so horrible. What does the plot have to do with the original DALD? Magic sunglasses? I know that they aren't getting top-notch scripts here but, PLEASE, read them before signing the contract.

What is this waste of film stock?

Crap. That is what this movie is. Don't get me wrong, I like cheesy movies and I'm a fan of the Feldman/Haim duo(Lost Boys, License To Drive), but this movie was so stupid. Corey Feldman once again doing his Michael Jackson impression, and Corey Haim trying to get his hair to look as weird as possible. Was there even a plot? Oh yeah, something about a few pairs of "magic sunglasses"(what?). The plot was totally different from the original Dream a Little Dream, so I don't know how this movie interacts with the original. I'm guessing the only reason they made this movie a sequel to the original is because this way people who liked the original would actually think this movie had some redeeming value and waste an hour and a half of their life watching this crap.

Embarrassed to say I saw some of this

No I am not a fan of the Coreys, though I did like Lost Boyz and Goonies. No I do not usually watch movies with Feldman in them. Not a big fan. No I didn't sit down and plan to watch this movie. I'd rather stick 2 giant metal poles into my eyes and run outside during a lightning storm. There was nothing else on, and I have limited channels to choose from. This was "background noise." You know when you're on the computer and the TV is on.

Well, I heard enough, and looked up and saw enough to warrant this movie as garbage. The Corey's aren't bad as actors, but they sure make poor choices. This film had everything going against it. The writing is stupid, the editing is horrible, the directing is dismal, the acting is pretty god awful, especially the supporting cast. Just a low budget piece of trash, I'm embarrassed for everyone who took part in this. A total yuck fest! 1 out of 10 and one of the worst films of all time. Everyone should've just thrown their money away to their favorite charities instead of producing this stale cheese.

The original was better

A lot of people think it has nothing to do with the original but when you stop and think about it, it does have to do with the original.

Honestly i am a huge fan of the Coreys(Haim and Feldman mostly Feldman)so in my eyes they can do nothing wrong and to me all their movies are good, even this one.

Although I will admit the original was better.

I would recommend this movie for people who want a movie with the Coreys to watch before you go to sleep.

But just to let you all know I liked it and my sister did too and so did a lot of other people that I know.

A Real Snoozer

I tried watching this waste of a film but fell asleep the first time and ended up having some dreams of my own. After waking up and rewinding, I found the dreams I had were more interesting than this films so called plot involving special mind-controlling sunglasses. Any fun the first film had is completely lost in this mess.

A mockery

This movie was a total mockery. The first one is cute and has a nice bit of melancholy to it. This second movie however is not worth your time, at all. Don't see it.

Let's do sequel to a really bad movie!

Dream a Little Dream was possibly one of the worst movies ever made. It was definitely the worst movie of the 1980's. And at the risk of speaking ill of the dead the two Cory's were two of the worst actors to even appear on screen, in every movie they were in but most especially in Dream a Little Dream.

So of course Hollywood had the bright idea to double down and make a sequel! And they brought back the Cory's because what's a bad movie, with bad writing and a crappy plot if you don't have really bad actors to be in it? I felt sorry for Jason Robards and Meredith Salinger for having the first movie on their resumes, especially Robards because he was a great actor. I feel just as sorry for everyone who is in this movie for the same reason.

Except of course for the Cory's because crappy movies where their stock in trade.

At least this one made more sense.

This movie wasn't as cool as the first, but it clear up some stuff about the first one. This movie is pretty low budget and thrown together. Not much very exciting to say about it. It's just one of those movies you can sit around the house and waste time watching.

Excellent music and entertaining story line.

Excellent music and musicians, Mickey Thomas and Mel Torme!!! Not a stellar film but entertaining. A movie geared towards pre-teens, teens, and 20's crowds. But enjoyable if you are not expecting a 5 star electrifying movie.

Dreaming Of Stacie!

I rented Dream a Little Dream 2 from my local video store in 1995, that being my first viewing of the film, since then I have recently watched this movie a couple of times the last few months on the premium cable network Showtime. A decent comedy with the two Corey's involved in a dramatic tangle over a pair of special powerful sunglasses. The best thing about this movie is the beautiful Stacie Randall, hopefully we will see her in more movies so she can showcase her talent. All in all Dream of Stacie watch if you like Haim and Feldman but Stacie Randall is the best, this film is made to watch if nothing else better to do and to view Stacie Randall.

worthy Haim and Feldman movie

This was a case of a writer making a good comedy, and then at the last minute making it a sequel to a drama.. It was a good movie, that takes place years after the first, One might ask why Feldman was so much different, but in the first, Feldman's character Bobby Keller, wasn't Feldman.. If you watch you will see that Feldman (Bobby) was caught in a dream and Jason Robards, who played Coleman was inside Feldman's body (or Bobby Keller).. It made sense for Haim (Dinger) to be the way he was.. But this movie was clearly not a drama, and the story, or point that the first had tried to make you see was all lost in this movie.. There (like most comedies) was no message behind this story at all..

But, as a Feldman, Haim movie, it is worthy, and is a movie that should be seen by any fan.. The Corey's really can't screw up much in my opinion..

Disconnected but not bad

I feel like people are harsh on this movie because it barely relates to the first.

Is this a bad movie? No. Is it a cringe movie? Yeah, I guess but I've watched a lot of cringe movies and this was ok. I even got a few genuine chuckles out of it.

Now am I saying this is the best movie ever? No, it's not amazing. Not really related to the first apart from (technically) 3 characters. It's a more light-hearted movie but still tries to be more... Grown-up? I guess.

If I were to describe what it felt like, I'd say... It's like an SNL skit where they tried to make a fake sequel with multiple genres, including sitcom, romance and spy movies. And somehow this movie made more sense than the first one.

Probably better off watching this pretending it's a stand-alone film. Because once you get past the feeling of "these are meant to be the same characters?" It's quite enjoyable.

Not any of the cast's best work but it looks like it was a lot more fun than the first movie.

Overall I'd say it's worth watching at least once, as long as you don't mind questioning everything while watching.

Pretty Hilarious

This movie is actually so funny. unlike dream a little dream, this movie is way less confusing and more humorous in its goal. i think it still follows the trail of the first movie, even if it's loosely. but corey and corey were funny as always, and i really enjoyed their characters. if you're a fan of either of them, this movie is worth the watch.

Must Watch

You must watch this movie. People who put it down only did so because they were disappointed it wasn't really a sequel. The first one was a drama whereas this one is a comedy. It takes place five years after the first one.

Coleman has died. Feldman's character has become super neat while Haim's character is still wild. The best parts of the film are Feldman and Lively's chemistry-very funny and great acting-and the appearance of Leo Rossi and the other guy from Haim's Fast Getaway films.

Dream a little dream 2 is something new

Dream a little dream 2 is something new. It is different form the first ream a little Dream. This one is about a pair of magic glasses. Whoever has one set can control the person with the other set. Of coarse, this leads Corey Haim and Corey Feldman into trouble as two spys come after the lasses.

Funny, smart, and exciting! This is a must-see!

Very good movie

This was a very good movie. Yes, it had its cheesy moments, but what movie doesn't you know. All movies have their bad moments. This movie was really good and the chemistry between all of the characters and actors made the movie as good as it was. The actors deserve the praise for their talents and for making this movie what it was.
