Good news by the River

Movie shooting on the edge of the Padma River, where a community people live face to face with (or against) the nature and the weather. Love, family, religion and work are, like in Europe, the reasons to go on and find the cause for smile and cry as life goes on. Very good work. TOP SCENE: at 1h,30min (more or less) a man is punished for his love relation with a married woman as the husband beats and calls her as a bitch in front of all the people. The man have to stay for two days chained to a tree, and we can see the woman, during the night, who goes to him bringing some water risking her life, as two men silently watch the moment.

One of the best bangladeshi movie ..

Good movie in all respects. Good acting by Raisul Islam Asad, Champa and Rupa Gangooly. Adaptation of great BENGALI novel "Padma Nadir Majhi" by Manik Gangooly in film areana has been done with perfection.

A great film that everyone should once

This is a great film from Bangladesh that represent the evergreen riverside rural areas and culture of the following society. It is truly a gem of Bangladesh film industry. The camerawork,acting everything was top class. It shows about struggle of poor people and fishermans miserable life. Raisul Islam Azad gave his best acting in this movie. This movie based on a novel written by Manik Bandopadhay. The film was shot entirely on location within Bangladesh. People from new generation should watch this movie. It will help to know about our past history a lot. It is not only a movie,it is like a asset of Bangladesh.
