Clarence and Angel

I watched this movie with my family, and it was totally awful! The acting: BAD! The plot: IT STUNK! The characters are too horrible to mention, and it was full of stupidness...

What movie company puts good money into making HORRID movies like this? I fail to understand the movie biz....

We had rented the movie from BlockBuster because we had thought it was about the angel "Clarence"... boy, were we wrong!

The movie is: Old, not very good, has poor acting and actors, has a weak storyline and is plain rotten... it is a pain to watch... :(

I hope you never have to see this movie... it is terrible...

While it is difficult to see the plot of 'Clarence and Angel', and the photography and sound are rather sub-standard, the social and psychological aspects are most interesting. As far as the standard of acting is concerned, its being more of a documentary than a piece of straightforward fiction means that professional acting is not its priority. Having said that, Mark Cardova, who plays Angel, is wonderful: how he manages to remember his lines is amazing, and his energetic performance is terrific. I think that in spite of its obvious limitations the director's comment on the lack of understanding between teachers and pupils in a depressed area comes through well. It makes one despair at how an obviously very intelligent pupil like Angel can be neglected in just the same way as that of the less naturally-gifted Clarence when teaching is poor and does not attempt to motivate.

This movie isn't a classic but it reminds me of the early 80s inner city, kids playing on the playground, girls skipping rope.. love the karate scenes by Angel definitely reminds me of my brothers and me back then..
