Kilma, la regina della jungla

an adventure film to be sure! but what an adventure! ship wrecked sob gets himself stranded on an island full of beautiful women! however these beautiful babes can also skin you alive! movie has some decent production values ,good photography, some good action scenes ,and a decent script.this film is also loaded with a fair amount of cheesy elements. if you like looking at loads of girls in animal skins,then this is the film to watch.this movie is in both spanish and english language.i have both versions and the spanish language one is still easy to follow storywise.overall an entertaining time filler.

This is a review of the actual Kilma jungle girl film from 1975 featuring Paul Naschy as an actor only. A girl and her wealthy father crash land in a plane in the African jungle, and only she survives. She grows up to be the local white Jungle Goddess. Because her mother cannot believe she is dead, her uncle (Naschy) accompanies an expedition to find her. Meanwhile, evil poachers are trying to trap Kilma to get the stash of diamonds her father was carrying when they crashed. Sound interesting? Unfortunately, this film is wretchedly directed/written with amateurish acting, and it doesn't even qualify as so-bad-it's-entertaining. Naschy plays a real dork here, and he must have appeared in this purely for the money. This doesn't even have the obligatory sexploitation T&A one might expect from a 70s jungle girl flick. There is really NO satisfaction to be found in this POS.

I wish to alert that the only current user review to date of this movie, posted in 2003, is NOT about this movie, but about another one, Kilma la regina della jungla (1976), an action adventure movie mixing the themes of amazons and pirates in the early 19th century - given the fact there are mentions of a British ship, and of the unrest in Batavia (Dutch East Indies).

The confusion between the two movies is due to the fact they had basically the same production crew and cast. The main star, Spanish beauty Blanca Estrada, played Kilma, the Queen of the Amazons (billed as as Eva Miller in foreign versions of the movie), and Laura, a female Tarzan-like white girl familiar with chimps and elephants, but not men, considered by the natives to be the savage goddess of the second film.
