Beethoven - Tage aus einem Leben

My greatest passion is classical music, and Beethoven is one of my favorite composers, so it's no wonder that I watched "Beethoven-Days in a Life" with interest. Especially since I am usually only interested in the work of a given composer, not in details from his life. The plot shows various episodes from the life of Ludwig van Beethoven during his years in Vienna from 1813 to 1819. Beethoven is at the height of his fame but is suffering greatly from personal problems: he is in financial difficulties, and his brothers Johann and Karl are constantly patronizing him. In addition, he is being followed by the secret police because of his democratic views. He is particularly troubled by his steadily increasing deafness, which isolates him more and more from his surroundings. But his loneliness and suffering cannot break his creative power. He collects ideas for a new, great work: his famous 9th Symphony. Most of those facts were known to me, but I am glad that I watched the film, which refreshed some of my memories. I liked the setting of the era, the acting, and the scene where Beethoven walks through a modern town.
