The theme song was written by show creator & executive producer Sherwood Schwartz. It was originally performed by The Peppermint Trolley Company. But reportedly, during filming, Christopher Knight was overheard singing the theme on set, and the show's producers came up with the idea of the Brady kids performing the theme. From season two on, they sang the song.
