Note: This story contains spoilers for “The Pitt” Episode 13.
“The Pitt” has thrown a lot of curveballs at Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch across its first season, but Episode 13 brought this healthcare professional to his breaking point.
In between high-stakes medical emergencies, the Max medical drama established Robby (Noah Wyle) as the overwhelmed senior attending leading the team of doctors and nurses at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital during this intense shift. Though he’s struggling with unresolved trauma from treating patients with Covid at the height of the pandemic, Robby has kept a steady head. But after a mass shooting at a nearby music festival brought a deluge of patients to the ER — including his almost stepson Jake (Jack Speights) and his gravely injured girlfriend — the tragedy hitting so close to home breaks him.

Despite the confirmed end of Cobra Kai with season 6, the franchise's overarching narrative is unlikely to come to an end, as it continues to be financially successful and popular. There is potential for spin-offs after season 6, with characters like Anthony Larusso, Kenny Payne, and Chozen having storylines that could be expanded into their own shows. The Karate Kid franchise could have two active branches, with a new movie reboot in the works that is separate from Cobra Kai. If both franchises continue to perform well, there could be potential for crossover between the movie and TV universes.
Johnny and Kreese were right on the money when they said "Cobra Kai never dies" because season 6 will likely not mark the end of the franchise. It has been officially confirmed that season 6 will be the final installment of Netflix's Cobra Kai, bringing closure to all the loose narrative threads that season 5 left behind.

Paraguayan filmmaker Paz Encina’s “Eami” – being sold by MPM Premium – has won the top Tiger Award and a €40,000 cash prize at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), the festival announced Wednesday. The 51st edition of the Dutch event, forced online due to the Omicron wave, will wrap on Sunday.
The jury, made up of Zsuzsi Bankuti, Gust Van den Berghe, Tatiana Leite, Thekla Reuten and Farid Tabarki, was impressed with her complex, magical realist take on the suffering of the indigenous tribes, calling it a “powerful film.” “It gave us the opportunity to dream and, at the same time, a chance to wake up,” they stated.
Inspired by the stories of the Ayoreo-Totobiegosode people, as well as their mythology, Encina created a tale about a young girl who embarks on a journey after her village is destroyed.
