- The rival off-road race car drivers Ben and "the Kid" enter a rally-cross race whose winner will be awarded the ownership of red Puma dune buggy. Due to unexpectedly tying for first place, they are awarded shared ownership over the vehicle. They try to settle who gets to keep their prize through a series of challenges. Meanwhile, the henchmen of a crooked property developer are tearing down a neighborhood to open up the space for an ambitious building project. When the drivers are threatened to leave by the henchmen, the dune buggy is destroyed in a ramming accident. The two angry drivers have a meeting with the crooked boss and demand a new buggy as a replacement. The boss is initially inclined to buy them a new buggy to compensate them, but a Freudian psychologist convinces him that the two drivers are behaving as "spoiled children" and that the boss has to discipline them as a "father figure". The boss sends a henchman to perform an arson attack on Ben's car. Instead of being intimidated, the drivers retaliate by attacking and beating up several of the henchmen. The boss then retaliates by hiring outlaw bikers and an assassin to use against his foes. The violence keeps escalating because the boss is motivated by anger and pride instead of self-preservation.—Dimos I
