Le svedesi continuavano a ballare... la mazurka a letto

This is a more tastier sequel, that I actually prefer to the original. Even Eric, the brother collegiate of Lena who is now married to Max Michelson, has been dubbed with another voice. There's just much more funnier going ons in this one. Again Max, our slight klutz is bumbling into a few things like the underneath of that hot maid. There's another funny scene involving a young collegiate kid, being hoisted up a rope, outside the window of a big prep building, spying on a hot woman in a state of undress, getting his jollies. The building is temporarily operating as a hotel. Why? Well the boys need to raise a lot of moolah, to get a new annex built, where the school will then become a collegiate girls school, too. When first watching this film when I was about sixteen, the film reminded me of my younger college days at St Peters where I spent five terms there, way different from this film. let me tell ya. There's so much continual happenings in this tasty and well made movie, where too I find dubbed films funny. I didn't find this temporarily operating hotel, that luxurious, though, where the students go to so much effort, to ensure that new annex is built with many a reason. Some saucy nudity helps too. Way more enjoyable than the original.

This is another in director John Hilbard's Danish Mazurka collection. The Mazurka films are a Danish attempt at the rather bawdy films that the British were making around the same time such as the Carry On series and later on the Confessions films. The Mazurka series tries to emulate the British offerings but unless you can understand the Scandinavian languages, the dialogue jokes will be meaningless.

The plot concerns the headmaster of a boarding school who is feeling the financial pinch. He gets the idea that renting out the student rooms during the school holidays to well-to-do holiday makers is a sure-fire way to refill the school coffers. Of course, things get out of hand in a farcical way but it is all handled in an innocent manner. The scene in a strip club was strange and left me wondering if the Danes understand the concept of strip-tease - the woman started off naked and then proceeded to put her clothes on. The film had not been spliced in the wrong way round.

The film had quite good production values, being shot on location in a rather fine country estate. The acting was typical of theatrical farce and there was very little nudity. If you do not understand Scandinavian languages, nor like old style comedy then this is probably not for you - 3 stars.
