Thing is, to people that love the genre this a 5. I mean 2 1/2 stars on a 1-10 format/10 star review, easy. People who don't love spaghetti - sure alright. 3.8 to scare you away with the TRUTH. If you love western's, especially spaghetti's.... It's at least a 5, notice i didn't get carried away with myself. Another thing is, i personally have found once i had pretty much exhausted most all spaghetti western's and had ran out of the new ones i could get my hands on, save a few.....I actually found myself to enjoy the Miles Deem (AKA) directed flicks, a bit more. It's just something that you either have in ya, or you don't, period. Italian/Spanish mash-ups i like to call em'. However if you happen to be normal, ya i guess a 3.8 ! Too Funny man.....

"His Name Was Pot... But They Called Him Allegria" is another one of the too many cheap westerns which Fidani directed. If the movie had a script, it could be summed up like this: The two brothers Pot (Peter Martell) and Ray (Gordon Mitchell) rob a bank together. They meet Steve (Lincoln Tate) and make him their new partner. Supported by an old man who knows everything about dynamite, the 4 outlaws rob a bigger bank. Ray is killed soon after, but only after Pot finds a medal that belonged to his brother, he knows about it and wants revenge.

The movie is below average in every respect and instantly forgettable except for Martell who puts a sympathetic personal stamp of interpretation on his role: an unwashed lawless man who takes what life offers him every day, ignoring all the rules, and he can even laugh about himself which is such a rare quality.
