Ostatnie dni

"Ostatnie Dni" (The Last Days) is the sequel to the earlier "Kierunek Berlin", which was also directed by Jerzy Passendorfer. It continues the subplots of the previous movie and shares the same characters. The adventures of Corporal Narog (Wojciech Siemion) come to the fore as he unsuccessfully searches for headquarters-he will deliver valuable, outdated documents to Berlin. Scouts from Lieutenant Kaczmarek's (Krzysztof Chamiec) company obtain valuable documents that Corporal Narog is to deliver to headquarters together with the prisoner (Klaus-Peter Thiele). Along the way, he finds a girl (Wieslawa Kwasniewska) he will fall in love with. Narog will take part in the assault on Berlin and in planting the Polish flag on the Brandenburg Gate. When developing the script, archival materials, documents, memories, and diaries were used. " The Last Days" is much lighter than "Kierunek Berlin" and contains the elements of folk ballad and even comedy. I enjoyed it and think that the viewers who like action films from World War II might like this film too.
