Co-produced and directed by Raffaello Matarazzo that has wicked stepmother, Matilde Ferrari (Tina Lattanzi) hounding and barking orders at her stepdaughter, Anna Ferrari (Yvonne Sanson) to step out to go to the theater while her actual dad, Gaetano Ferrari stands there does nothing that means she is the master of the entire household. After both Anna's dad and stepmother leaves, it is not long before she were to receive a phone call from her boyfriend, Carlo Guarnieri (Amedeo Nazzari) who wanted to see her. At first she says no, but because she thinks both are at the theater, that she would come back in time before they notice she was gone. Except that by the time Gaetano and Matilda arrive, the event was cancelled forcing them to come home early. As a result, Carlo clashed with Anna's stepmother who kicked her out with Carlo promising to be married and support her.
