The upcoming "Goof on the Roof" will be the final Three Stooges short of 1953 that contains all original footage (there were four of them). At this point in the Stooges' stretch with Columbia, the budget for short subjects was so low, starting in 1954 only two completely original shorts were allowed per year; the rest had to be heavily incorporated with footage from previous shorts.

The Stooges are listed in order: Moe, Larry, and Shemp; the only short with Shemp that shows them in that order on the opening card.
Before the opening credits, the Stooges float towards the screen and say "Hello!" to the viewer and draw their canes at the screen's front. The 2-D version of this sequence is not very convincing.
