I love to watch the show but find the talking all at the same time in a very loud voices obnoxious. The food shows are embarrassing for the person trying to show the food one is preparing, all chipping in and can hardly follow what is going on, do they need so many people at that time, just one would be better. Its so rude to all be talking at the same time and I just have to turn it off.
To NBC TODAY Show,
I am a huge fan and a long time devoted viewer of the TODAY Show, but since Craig Melvin has come on the scene for the M-F time slot with Hoda and Savannah, it is unbearable to listen to his voice!
I cannot understand anything he says, he mumbles, his voice sounds like he is being strangled and trying to talk and grasping for a breath all at the same time. The voice is so annoying that I have to mute the volume and now because he is apparently a third anchor, I will need to find a new morning show. Worst idea ever to hire him for any kind of TV or commentary, he needs a job where he does not speak.
NBC you have it all wrong.
You have lost another viewer. Leave it the way it was with Hoda and Savannah Only as anchor's. Love Love Love Hoda and Savannah as the morning team, we do Not need the third wheel.
When he is removed, I will come back as a viewer. The voice is so grating, I cannot be the only viewer that has this opinion NBC, just take a look at all the other complaints posted here, on reviews, social media and elsewhere, listen to your viewers. I loved the Today show and was a devoted viewer, no longer.
Goodbye TODAY !

I'm not sure where you got your data about cast members, but someone needs to check it with NBC. Dave Garroway, the original host of Today, appeared on at least 2000 episodes during the first nine years of the run -- 5 days a week for at least 48 weeks a year for nine years -- but you credited him with 3 episodes. Jack Lesculie was an everyday regular on the show for at least 3 years in the beginning. To credit these men with fewer appearances than J. Fred Muggs, a chimpanzee who appeared on the show during that era, is an insult to their memory -- particularly since Muggs was biting them all the time! In those days, the program was live, so the human performers had to be careful how they reacted. Seriously, this was one of the most important programs in the early days of television, thanks largely to the work of Garroway, Pat Weaver and newscaster Frank Blair. It trained people to get up in the mornings and turn on their sets -- a habit we've continued to practice for more than half a century!
Just watch this show. They show very little news but jump into "feel good" stories after the first 20 minutes. Fake smiles, fake agendas etc... No more Afghanistan stories, Southern border stories etc... They show only what they want. The little boy who has a lemonade stand to make money for firefighters gets 4 full minutes, but human trafficking gets nothing. An old celebrity dies and they get 10 seconds of airtime, a Kardashian comes up with a new line of clothing...5 minutes of airtime. You are watching 4 hours with 95 minutes of commercials. Just time it. The cast are making 10's of millions of dollars per year, off of commercials while you blindly watch.

I literally just timed ten (YES TEN) minutes of commercials. Yes after 5 minutes they popped back in and spoke for about 8 seconds and said "coming up".....but then went another 5 minutes with the ads. It seems they are more interested in making $$$ than actually reporting the news. Plus they are severely biased against the republican party.

Someone suggested the show go to a 1 hour format, because that would be plenty of time to get what they wanted in. Well, how about going to a 15 minute format. That's about how much substance there is on any given show.
Even the weather primarily consists of Al Roker joking around on the plaza. I actually like him, but they should stop the charade that he's giving a forecast and just say "Here's Al Roker, who is going to schmooze a bit on the plaza and then unhelpfully gesture toward a map the United States and mention that in some part of the country it will rain. Or not rain."

Once the Today Show had merit with the likes of Ann Curry but it's become a hollow program more concerned about lame entertainment than meaningful news. I stopped watching. And once, Hoda Kotb was a valuable journalist fell into the trap of entertainment over news and subsequently left Today to devote her time to Hoda and Jenna another lame show that doesn't, however, claim to be anything else. I'm not even sure why I gave it 3 Stars. Maybe it was locality to what it once was.

I too have been watching this news show forever but what has it become? Al Roker who I liked when he did the weather has become a screaming personality that has to shut up. His rants are intolerable and make me switch to another news channel. Additionally, when it's Hoda and Jennas turn, they talk nonsense and Jenna consistently over talks Hoda. Jenna needs to go... what does she contribute to the NEWS, which should be the focus of the show.
This is a sad commentary, but I am seriously considering switching my loyalty to another news channel. It's time....

My rating of 10 is for this week of Today with Kristin Walker and Peter Alexander. If this week had been hosted by Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kofi it would have been a one. It was nice to see that the Today show does not have to be headache producing as it is ordinarily with Savannah and Hoda who are constantly shouting over each other . They are constantly jockeying for screen time and have been very unpleasant to watch. Has anyone considered replacing these hosts with Ms Welker and Mr Alexander? They were informative, relaxed and seemed as though they actually liked and respected each other. They would be stellar hosts on a regular basis.
I really wish NBC could see what others obviously see that Craig is not a good fit for the show. He comes across as smug, cocky, and arrogant. When he's filling in for Hoda or SG, I find the show an absolute disappointment. JHB would be a better fit. I have several people that I text with where we all complain and make fun of what Craig is doing on the show. For those of us that record and watch later in the morning, we text the others and go "ugh, Craig is filling in." It's a real let down for a show I enjoy most mornings. Also, can someone refresh SG's outfits? She needs something a little more chic and modern.

You need to replace both Savannah and Hoda. Savannah is the most fake, insincere person on TV. She tries to sit all prim and proper with her hands crossed, yet her elbows stick out. Hoda seems loud and out of line. You can tell they are both fake with each other on camera. I do want to give kudos to Craig, Chinelle, and Dylan. They are doing awesome and they are holding up the morning show for the 3 hours. They were so reliable during the holidays while your 2 ladies took off to over show each other. And lastly, Jenna does an outstanding job with her role. She is sincere, down to earth, and does great with all her presentations. Give Craig and Chinelle a better role to hold your ratings!!!! If you care make the changes.
I usually shut the tv off before the show because Al is so rude and loud, but didn't this morning and if I was Jill, who was showing her tuna dip and Al who kept screaming at her that it's tuna salad, I would have taken the dip and shoved it in his face...shut up Al! ..for some reason he's morphed from weather to host and he's loud, opinionated and not funny.. I do not watch because of him.

I can't believe this show is on television. The hosts are the WORST. Kathie and Hoda sit around guzzling wine, stroking each other's egos, and making terrible pun after pun. The only difference between this show and something off the Home Shopping Network(QVC) is Al Roker wandering around in the background.
Sorry I can't stand to watch TODAY, due to everyone talks at once! Cooking guests can't discuss ingredients, steps, etc due to people commenting! Same for guests showing bargains, there's the guests plus 3 Today people, and guess what? You got it, all of them will be talking, especially the ladies! It is rude to the guests, they already have to talk 90 mph, due to timing. Plus, I can't hardly understand any thing being said. So, I've decided I just need to watch another channel! BTW, didn't your momma's teach you not to interrupt when someone is talking?!

Afraid this show is more entertainment than Journalism. They continue to have younger cast trading silliness to in depth news story. Jeff Rossen . One great investigative reporter contract not renewed. I turn off now very early.

Savannah is ruining this show. She is rude to guests who's political views she disagrees with, harsh with her questions and clearly biased against our current President. I watch the show to get the news (unbiased), learn about events and personal stories. It has become unbearable. I will watching another channel.

I have fond childhood memories of the Dave Garroway "Today" show from the early to mid-50's. I watched it every morning as I was preparing for school. I enjoyed seeing all those people in New York City standing in the street looking in the window as they were being shot live by the "Today" cameras. Members of the crowd held up signs with such homilies as hello, Mom, or Bruce, or folks back home, or whoever was watching their first appearance on national TV. Whenever the camera panned them, they would do crazy things such as distorting their faces, jumping up and down, screeching, winking an eye, and incessantly waving as if they had just landed on the moon.
The early "Today" show centered on the eccentric personality of Dave Garroway, who became almost a cult figure to some of his viewers. His signature trademark was to hold his right hand up at the end of the program and softly proclaim, "Peace." This tall, bespectacled host was certainly different than others of his ilk. He tended to be moody yet conversational while drinking a cup of coffee. Dave's nemesis was the so-called co-host J. Fred Muggs, a spoiled and pampered chimp. Obvious to viewers was the enmity Dave felt toward the chimp. Also obvious: the feeling was mutual. Dave and the chimp pretended that it was all in fun. One reason for this pretense was the popularity of the chimp over Dave. Dave let the chimp make a monkey of him because it kept the ratings up.
Almost as popular as Dave and the chimp were the other members of the "Today" morning team. Jack Lescoulie gave the sports, served as reporter, and participated in the hijinks with J. Fred and Dave from time to time. He was a colorful character with a gift of gab who did his job well. He would sit in for Dave when needed. The news anchor, Frank Blair, was the most laid back of the "Today" staff. He was droll in his humor but Like Jack Lescoulie often participated in the fun and games. As I recall he also gave the weather.
Dave was gifted in several ways. His intellect enabled him to communicate his ideas and feelings with ease yet in a way that seemed informal and genuine. He conducted many of the best interviews of early television. He had an innate sense of what world work and what wouldn't work on early morning television when choosing guests and topics. Because of his tortured personal life, the gifts he possessed sadly began to wane till he was dropped by NBC and drifted into oblivion.

Great show! Despite Savanah was wearing tennis shoes! What impression does she want to give! I wonder? But is like an insult to the elegance of her colleagues. Hoda always looks fantastic and the boys wonderful!

As long as Savannah Guthrie is on this show, I will not never watch it again. We all have our opinions and political views but news people should be required to have a open minded, balanced behavior online. The disrespectful, viper behavior she portrays online with an obvious Democrat loyalty is inexcusable for a reputable news commentator or anchor, although it seems to be the trend these days. There are too many options these days for channels and shows to watch this poor quality behavior.

I actually love the Today show...but I hardly ever watch it since they are constantly rushing through segments..its uncomfortable to watch Natalie and Matt along with the others rush through each story or segment..I feel yucky watching it and i know the guests do too...I would much prefer to have less stories or highlights rather than everyone feeling stressed and rushing..the Today show staff look like they aren't listening and are merely trying to get through their bit as quick ad possible..its awkward for all and I think i speak for everyone when I say.. its embarrassing for the guests and the hosts..I cringe whenever i see it happen which is often..please stop that..
This show is ridiculous. Hoda is overly animated with her mouth always wide open with a maniacal smile. She over does it. It's so affected and fake. Also the way they gush over each other is nauseating. They come across as very cliqueish. Their coverage of the Olympics was terrible. All they focused on was Simone Biles. It was so sycophantic. Barely to no coverage of gold medal winners such as the woman who won gold in wrestling. They didn't mention her at all.
I like some of the recipes on the cooking segment, but they rush through this part. They need to designate more time for the cooking segment.
