The Ghost Train of the title actually pertains to a haunted train station, which saw a horrific accident claim the lives of 13 people.

Now, the ghost train passes by each night, replaying it's cursed fate, time and time again.

During which Henk Kok- the former station hand, who tried to prevent the tragedy- and Old Mulder- the train's conductor, who returns, as an apparition, walking up and down the platform, carrying a red lantern- haunt the place.

The catch being...that if curiosity gets the best of you...and you look at the ghostly train...you will fall dead instantly.

The plot revolves around a rag tag group of passengers, who get stuck in the station, after missing their connection due to a delay.

The story is relayed to them by the current station master, before they settle in for the night.

Only to be spooked by a series of banal- all around explainable- incidents.

That is...until the station master suddenly dies.

The first victim of the ghost train.

Leaving them to wonder...if he can't survive such an ordeal...how could they?

The group consists of an anxiety ridden teetotaler bachelorette; a couple honeymooners; a doctor (psychologist); his patient (who seeks to commit suicide by ghost train); her husband; a magician; his new apprentice; and a cocky young criminal, for comic relief.

All of whom, collectively, represent a diverse array of worldviews, through which to engage with the scenario.

The only question being...whether any of the stories are even true...or...whether they are just being trolled by someone out to test them?

Only time will tell, as the truth plays out.

But let it me tell you...it's now how you'd expect.

As the ending is laden with a series of twists that make for an all-around rewarding experience that is definitely worth a watch.

Being made up of a fine blend of comedy, horror, and crime...all spun into one (pun intended).
