Ebbe Rode has some fine moments as Lauring's dull doctor, which just goes to show that he can play any role, proved by the diversity of excellent parts he played in films from that period. This film precedes Johan Jacobsen's later masterpiece in this genre from 1950, 'Min kone er uskyldig'.
