Snow Time for Comedy

The dogs in this cartoon are referred to as 'the curious pups'. Well, regardless of what they are called, I can recall two prior movies with the same dogs...though in the first one, they are not friends but enemies as the bigger dog is a guard dog and the little dog wanders into the place. Regardless, their films are not especially funny nor are they very memorable...at least compared to other Looney Tunes shorts.

In this film the two dogs are out cavorting about during the winter...on snow, ice and on a mountain. None of it is bad but the laughs and edginess of a typical Looney Tunes short is lacking. Worth seeing....but also easy to skip.

I've never cared much for the Warner Brothers shorts featuring the two curious dogs. This is probably one of the stronger shorts in that series. The two dogs have to contend with various winter obstacles while in pursuit of a bone. It has some chuckles but is a long way from being hilarious. Don't worry, that annoying running gag with the beaver actually has a pretty good pay off.
