He did it, he swayed me into standup! I love Nate and his jokes. Very realistic and not too political, just simply enjoyable! I have watched it twice in a few days and I highly recommend!
Bargatze's jokes are good, but what makes his comedy work is him. With a conversational delivery, his relatability is his unabated strength. Being a not-super-masculine man from the south myself, that relatability is all the more enticing.
Surely worth a shot. Not the ROFL kinda standup, but if you like dry humor, this is almost a constant chuckle throughout the hour. Will be following this guy and will be watching his other content.
One stand-up comedy per day, that's what I've been watching now for weeks in a row. Most of the time unknown or at least completely new to me comedians so it's always nice to discover new names that make me have a good time. Nate Bargatze is one of those. He isn't very energetic on stage, he's more the casual guy telling some funny stories, but his nonchalance is what makes it even more funny. To me it's a good approach to tell jokes, it all looks like these things happen to him all the time. Nate Bargatze is a comedian I will follow, I don't think you can really go wrong with one of his shows if you're looking for some easy entertainment and good laughs.
But The Rona has us all watching stuff we'd gloss right over normally, so figured I'd give him a shot.
It's worth noting, his horse bit? Completely relatable. I consider myself fairly intelligent, and I recall being told a few times that horses and cows do not lie down unless they're ill, so one day driving past a field, I see a horse on its side and immediately thought 'NOMG that's so sad! I should let the farmer know...' so I make my way to the farm house, for which I was sized up and down, then told 'are you effing re****ed? How do you sleep? Lying down? Well, that's how our horses sleep. Thanks.' So I definitely related. Maybe a little too much.
Funny guy; relatable, good delivery style, but my only complaint would be, we get it, you procreated. We don't need to see your kid doing your intro.
