Riepilogo
Reviewers say 'From' is appreciated for its intriguing mystery, suspenseful storytelling, and horror elements, often drawing comparisons to 'Lost'. The show's unique premise captivates audiences, with strong performances from Harold Perrineau and Eion Bailey. Engaging character development and atmospheric tension create a gripping experience. However, some criticize the pacing, dialogue, and lack of answers, suggesting improvements. Despite these issues, many find the show addictive and worth watching, particularly for mystery and horror fans.
Recensioni in evidenza
The first season was intriguing, a somewhat creative premise that showed a lot of premise. But by the third season you start to feel like they are dragging it out with no particular motive.
Season 3 was basically 8 hours of boring drama and 10 minutes of new plot elements. The new elements are not even interesting. They are just there to add to the queue of unanswered plot lines. To make things worse the dialogue seems to have been reduced to mere vowels,. It is there simply to fill in time as the show searches for a premise.
The show suffers from same problem as Walking Dead, repeating and recycling same plot lines until they become completely ineffective. Now that the main characters have acclimated to their environment, they walk around freely and even regularly interact with the 'ghouls' . The scary monsters no longer add any tension , instead they feel like a sideshow, abandoned from when the circus has left town.

I wasn't sure what to expect from From. I've read everything from it's like Lost to it's a generic horror version of Lost. Lost is one of my favorite shows ever and the reviews for this have been mostly positive so I figured I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. I was hooked from the first episode to the last. I'm so glad they already renewed this because there are so many unanswered questions still. That's probably the only negative thing I have say about this show, it takes a long time to answer questions and when they do more pop up. It takes a little time to really get going but once it does you'll be addicted and want to binge it as quickly as possible.
Way better than I thought it would be based on some of the negative reviews on here. So good that I binged the first two seasons during a long weekend. Can't wait for the third season to come out. Great premise for a show with some similarities to shows like Lost and Wayward Pines, but different enough that it didn't feel like I was watching the same show. I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror/mystery type shows with some gore. Very enjoyable and fun watch. I just hope it gets more seasons, or at least enough so we get answers to all of the questions I still have. One of the best shows I've seen in awhile.
I'm writing this for the writers and producers of the show:
Please don't turn this into another "Lost"-another disappointment. You're heading straight for the same trap. None of the characters communicate with each other or share what's happening in town. It's as if they've suddenly become clueless, deliberately withholding important information that could help them understand what's going on. And this is so annoying.
Also, in every single episode, something new happens, but it's never explained. I've watched 14 episodes so far, and nothing has been clarified-just like "Lost."
So please, writers and producers, don't ruin this one too.

Even though there's still too many unanswered questions and season 3 hasn't been quite as good as the first two seasons it's still worth watching. Overall, From is every bit as good as all the hype surrounding it. It was definitely a lot better than anything I was expecting. Even though there is horror and some gore in it, this show is so much more than just some horror show. They keep finding new creative ways to keep the show interesting. Each season adds new characters and how they react to being stuck there. It's a very clever show that has a lot of unknown and mystery to it. Every answer we get just leads to more questions and I'm worried that there's going to be more questions than answers but so far it has been a fun show to watch. I just started the third season and while not quite as good it continues to entertain.

- QuizThe town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia.
The site, known as the Beaver Bank Villa has a long history, and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support the workers of a nearby military radar base which operated in the 1950's and 1960's. The paved streets and driveways were all that remained, and the fake town was built on them.
