The Guide

I think the synopsis doesn't fully convey that the guardian angel follows the man's life from his first date all the way to the very end. There's powerful symbolism throughout the film-for example, the hourglass, which represents the angel's lifelong care and constant presence, subtly influencing key moments in the man's life.

All of this makes the short unexpectedly emotional. Very little is said in the film, but the words that do appear are spoken at exactly the right moments-and they're the right words.

Big thanks to the director for getting the corner of my eye a little wet. A truly touching concept, beautifully executed.
