Blackbird

From the writing to the actors, this short film is able to make you feel the waves of emotion from the first shot. Within the short amount of time this story is told, you can feel the actors emotions. It will pull on your heartstrings, and leave you wanting more.

Personally, I'm big on visuals. Going into 'Blackbird', I was expecting it to *look* like a short film. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case with this film.

The story was well thought out and compelling and stems from something that I believe we have all pondered at one point or another. I'll leave it at that as I don't want to go into any spoilers.

All in all, with the quality level that 'Blackbird' is sitting at as a short; I'm really interested to see where the filmmakers can go with more time and money in the future.

Tldr; Beautiful visuals, compelling story and will definitely watch again.

I always try to be supportive of independent film, but I also want to be objective.

This film has good performances and cinematography, but the story is very unoriginal and the details feel very implausible.

This has been done before way better and this version doesn't seem to add anything new or have any points to make.

I wouldn't say it's a bad short film, but I have to say it's quite mediocre.

This is literally just Black Mirror Season 2 Episode 4 (with a couple of ideas taken from later episodes) but with old Apple products as the futuristic tech and no point to the film. It's very odd that they didn't think that people might have seen one of the most popular series ever and would catch that they just stole the story. Save your time and go watch the Black Mirror episode, it's much better all around.

Absolutely beautiful imagery. The story is so solid that I found myself with cold chills at the end. It did what I feel like a short aims to accomplish... I want more from this story! I want to know it all. Score is also incredible. Lovely writing. Solid acting.
