A photographer's inept assistant who is deranged and lacking intelligence is totally infatuated with the woman that lives in the building across the alley. He spends most of his days and nights stalking the woman and has a shrine to her in his apartment. All until one day he takes things much further.
The male lead is excellent. He makes a relatively weak script work. The female lead is just okay. This film really plays like a Director Hisayasu Satõ film although this came out years before Satõ started.
This is a Pink Eiga and so has the requisite nudity & sex scenes. Nothing too explicit especially as it was 1977. A bit of violence thrown in to some of the scenes. I wouldn't call them erotic scenes but they are definitely important to the story.
From the first few minutes I thought I'll end up bored for the next hour. Instead I found it very interesting with a satisfying ending. This should be rated higher than I did but the budget limitations really showed.
