The atmosphere of this short film is amazing from the start to end.
The director Mike Pecci is extremely talented and « Who's There ? » as well as his previous short film « 12KM » really shows this.
The actors are great and communicate their emotions very well. The music always has an important role in movies and the director used it perfectly.
It's hard to make people feel things with a short film because you have to get them hooked from the very start but in « Who's There » you get immediately interested and it last for the whole 10 minutes.
It was truly an amazing experience and I hope to see more of Mike Pecci's work as a director in a future !

Loved this short very well done , the color palette, the aesthetic, the shots , the performance all very well done. I need to know more of what is going to happen but for the purposes of the short this is a very entertaining watch. This is the kind of picture that will let you have a lot of fun trying to create the end of the story in your mind. Can't wait to see more from this director. Projects like this are keeping horror alive and well Thank you!! Would very much like to see this concept turned into a full length motion picture this will be something I will be thinking about again and again over the next few weeks.
I'm a big fan of the "unknown" in horror. The evil lurking in the shadows only to be seen by their unsuspecting victims, leaving the audience to decide for themselves just what the hell is going on. "Who's There" provides just enough of the mystery to leave you wanting more, but shows JUST enough to let the viewer know that this isn't your regular neighborhood burglar. In my opinion, one of the worst things a horror film can do is overload the audience with exposition too early. Mike Pecci has a fantastic way of providing exposition without jamming it down your throat. The "less is more" approach allows the viewer to fill in the blanks for themselves, leaving everybody with a unique experience to take away. So, what exactly was knocking at the door? We may never find out, but it damn sure has me wanting more.
I've had the joy of watching Mike grow into a bona-fide director to watch, a true visionary intent to carve his own path in the world of cinema. Before I continue I will address the elephant in the room, the 2.99 fee. It's firstly not a fee, it's to help and support future projects if you believe what you've seen so far from previous projects is "worth it". If you still need to think of it as a fee, then it's safe to say its worth it.
Pecci brings this nine minute piece to a huge crescendo, utilising the time without bombarding us with information. I love the Christmas setting and sits well with the story itself, a plot point rather than a gimmick. I'm going the spoiler free route so forgive me for being curt. If you're a fan of Creepshow and other anthology based projects, give this and all Mike's stuff a watch. If you prefer longer movies, that give time for a story to breathe then donate the 2.99 and hopefully we get a full feature that will be more than a long time coming.

Atmospheric camera work and lighting design with immersive sound design draws the viewer in very quickly. It builds on the "creep factor" more than delivering the quiet, quiet, BANG style jump scares seen in so much modern cinema. At times it reminded me of the Nic Cage movie Color Out Of Space. Top quality acting from the cast, the young female in the lead really standing out as a top notch performance. I have seen the director's other movie 12 Kilometers and i am starting to believe that he is a name to watch out for as he is going places. I hope the next movie is a feature film. I highly recommend this.
