I don't think this film is quite as bad as some other reviewers have suggested.

Yes it's humour is often of the juvenile variety but that is appropriate for reasons I am about to provide.

There is nothing new or original here...all the situations depicted have been dramatised many times over the years to the point where they are now cliches.

Anyone gay over 25 will have seen it all before and will gain nothing from it,having seen it done much better.

However,I think it's target audience is,(or should be),young gay teens,many of whom will still be trying to navigate around the very situations depicted in the film...therefore it's jokey style will appeal to the young much more than to adults...to that extent the film has some value.

It's no 'Heartstopper' but it has it's place.

Written like a child's version of growing up gay.

Every cliche and stereotype in the book comes out in this nonsense, with the sympathetic parents, the school bully, the gay boy deciding to finally stand up to his enemies, the high school friend he has a crush on, the wise sister who knew her brother was gay all along. It's a vomit fest of shmaltz, and performed by a cast of terrible actors who mug at the camera and delight in delivering the most painfully unfunny drivel dialogue I've ever heard.

Supposedly a comedy but clearly scripted by a ten year old who thinks he's clever, having the main character stopping to narrate the onscreen cringy action whilst turning to camera to emote his thoughts, it's all so tiresome and irritating.

Clearly intended as a sugary bit of fluff that bears no relation to how people act in real life, it plays out like a cheap amateur theatre production or school play, and god knows why this is an 18 certificate in the UK because there is zero nudity, sex or bad language in this feeble farce, and no jokes or laughs either.

If anyone finds this funny, they are naive queens who haven't ever seen a good movie before.

Embarrassingly awful.
