My daughter is completely obsessed with this show. We watch it a LOT. I know all the songs. It's culturally informative and also a smart show that has increased her vocabulary. She's almost 3 and she can tell you what a bansari is ("a instrument for play at a birthday party") and what a detective does ("Detective help you find things") lol.
While I'm salty about the fact that The Rocketeer, a great show, was a flop, I guess this show makes up for it because it's already really popular, albeit not as good as Tots.
Animation and Art Style: The animation isn't as Pixar-esque as the Rocketeer, and is slightly rough around the edges, but is decent nonetheless. The characters all have unique designs, and the color palette is vibrant.
Writing: The writing is fine. The episodes can get a bit repetitive though because they follow the same format. I will say that the writers did do their research in regards to Indian culture, as it is very accurate.
Characters: The characters are alright. I enjoy the side characters such as Neel and Priya. Mikku and Chikku are really funny. Mira on the other hand, is kind of a Mary-Sue, but at least not completely as she's shown to struggle with filling in the shoes of a Royal Detective.
Music: I, for one, love the music. The theme song and the 'We're On The Case' song are both really catchy, and the music is properly Indian-style.
Enjoyment: It's not something I would watch every day, but it's a fun little series with some long-overdue respectful Indian representation. And I got this review out just in time for Asian Pacific Heritage Month.

One of our favorite shows with our 6 year old daughter. She LOVES this show. And so do we. Mira teaches us how to use our intuitive and practiced skills to solve mysteries, explore culture, and cultivate our relationships. This show is a revolution for young girls, Indian Americans, and bridging the gap in Hollywood representation for both demographics. Mira is a shining example of the hero our daughters need!
Great show. No matter what you nationality or culture your kids will likely love it..and so the should. We are white British and my 5 year old daughter loves it and better still shes learning a little about Indian culture and a story with good morals from watching it, as well as some light hearted fun and entertainment. Only trouble is she currently doesn't want to watch or do much else lol.
