The two terrier/chihuahua mix puppies in this film were rescued off the streets in California at only 8 weeks old, and then rescued again from a high kill shelter and brought up to Washington for this film by the loving people at Smidget Rescue. After production wrapped they were offered up for adoption and found their forever homes in Seattle with related owners so the brothers "Dobby" and "Tequila" get to still visit and play with each other. There, they are living happily ever after.
