Is some part of the movie taken from random YouTube content? For example, Johnny Lever's steam bath scene seems to have been done before in a Gordon Ramsay ad, and Abhishek Bachchan's interrogation scene looks copied from Anwar Jibawi's "The Most Wanted." What's going on with this movie?
The overall story was good but could've been the best. To make movies stand out, creators should focus on original storytelling, build fresh characters, draw from real-life emotions, and avoid overused internet content. Uniqueness is what truly connects with the audience.
I love Akshay kumar he is best, He is the only reason i have seen that movie 🍿

The Housefull franchise has always thrived on loud humor and slapstick comedy. What once was an occasionally amusing madhouse now feels like a painfully forced circus. Let's start with the elephant in the room - the script. Or rather, the lack of it. The plot of Housefull 5 feels like it was written in haste over a single coffee break, without any effort to tie the sequences into a cohesive story. It relies on outdated humor, and tests the patience of even the most loyal fans of the series.
Director Tarun Mansukhani, best known for Dostana, delivers what is undeniably the weakest execution in the Housefull series so far. While previous entries, despite their flaws, had occasional entertaining sparks and comic timing, this one feels like a chaotic improvisation exercise gone terribly wrong. The screenplay is riddled with pointless sequences that add no value and only stretch the runtime. The second half, in particular, becomes a patience test, scenes come and go without context. There's an uncomfortable reliance on double-meaning jokes.
Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan try their best to keep the energy alive. Their comic timing occasionally brings some charm to the otherwise tasteless scenes. Fardeen Khan and Dino Morea offer decent support. However, the female cast Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, and Chitrangda Singh are reduced to mere glamour props. The hyper sexualization of Soundarya Sharma's character in particular feels uncomfortable, drawing unnecessary attention rather than laughs. Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, and Ranjeet are utterly wasted. The entry scenes for Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Nana Patekar were great but performance suffered from the lackluster writing.
Direction 1.5/5 Acting 2/5 Dialogues 2/5 Story 1/5 Screenplay 1/5.

Vulgar jokes which never lands and too many actors and actresses being introduced in the whole movie. Don't watch it with family and I would suggest don't even watch it. Kind of predictable movie with same childish jokes.
There is no need to watch both the movies, both are literally same movies with only 1 villan being interchanged without changing any story or even a scene. You can watch one movie and search who is villan in another one.
The movie uses old clips and references of older housefull movies and Akshay Kumar's funny scenes. Movie is sexy if you are into that than you can watch it otherwise there is no comedy, very less suspense and literally tasteless movie.

I miss old akshay movies. This movie has no base. Mekers should attention other important elements and character. Sons has no connection to movies. There are some vulgure words and gesture in the movie. So watching this movie with the family members is not recommended. Who has basic understanding about a good movie will be disappointed after watching this movie. Day by day the quality of Bollywood movies are falling. Directors of Bollywood only makes movies by selected actors. New talented actors are heavely neglected. This bad practice in Bollywood is even makes the situation worse. This is total time waste movie.
How can a producer having this much experience makes such low level movie, half of the movie is copied from memes, english movies and reels. The rest is very childish comedy. They fit the propellers inside the hull of the ship just to make last scene, everyone is flying around.
If we talk about the suspense of the movie, that is the most mediocre kind of story, been watching Netflix and Hollywood for so long, I think Bollywood is far behind and their decline has started already.
Why can't they make a Bollywood movie where people aren't flying around? I mean do they even watch the movie when they finalise it?

I mean, the title itself says it all, "Housefull of flies!" These people have zero knowledge of storytelling, filmmaking, or anything remotely close to what you'd call a film. And somehow, they're shelling out 240 crores budget for this? Seriously? This film shouldn't even get 10 lakhs.
It honestly makes me cringe, disgusted, to see people rating such nonsense films so highly. And these actors? I don't even have the words. How shameful is it to be part of something that has nothing and on top of that, deliver horrendous acting?
It's literally dog-eats-dog, as some say. They're all just hyping each other up and patting backs for mediocrity after mediocrity. If you have no clue about acting, storytelling, or filmmaking, please, pick another profession and let people who care actually make films.
This isn't comedy anymore, it's worse than even the most basic slapstick made with minimal setups in some rural African country out there online. And those folks probably still have more cinematic understanding than this bunch.
Seriously, who even made these people actors, actresses, or filmmakers? They're just taking audiences for a ride, milking the system with zero accountability. This isn't just bad filmmaking, it's filmmaking apathy.

Housefull 5 is a hilarious rollercoaster of chaos, comedy, and surprises that delivers exactly what fans expect-and even more. Set aboard a luxurious cruise, the film adds a smart and unexpected murder mystery twist to its signature slapstick humor, making it feel fresh, fast-paced, and endlessly entertaining. Akshay Kumar is in top form with flawless comic timing, while the entire star-studded cast brings unmatched energy and charm. With catchy music, vibrant visuals, and laugh-out-loud moments from start to finish, Housefull 5 is pure Bollywood madness at its most entertaining and enjoyable.

I genuinely believe this movie wasn't made to be critically analyzed. If you do, it falls apart pretty quickly. However, if you're simply looking to kill time and enjoy some lighthearted fun, then it delivers well enough.
Some jokes land, while others are predictable even before they're delivered. There are a few genuinely funny scenes that deserve praise, but others rely too heavily on nostalgia and come off as underwhelming.
All in all, don't approach this movie with a critical mindset. Instead, watch it with a relaxed attitude, just looking to have a good laugh.
P. S. Side A is better than Side B.

Creatively Bankrupt Bollywood has again put forward a brainless, humourless, cringeworthy movie which will further erode the reputation of Hindi movie industry. First thing, is this a movie or chance to for forgotten actors and actresses (why being forgotten is best known to them) to revive their careers. And I am damn sure Akshay Kumar will do any movie however bad the script is if he is paid a handsome fee.
Now back to plot of this 2 hours 45 minutes movie, a billionaire dies on luxurious cruise ship with murderer on board, police comes to catch the murderer and solve the case, and there are people who are ready to be the heir to the billionaire and the chaos and drama that unfolds. Why this plot sounds like familiar? Probably because movie has been made on this plot previously not only in Bollywood but in Hollywood also with plot quite similar. It's high time movie producers in Bollywood invest more on writers to produce decent enough script to make audiences laugh and not to repeat used plots, cringe jokes which even fails to make you smirk.
Though with all the rights being sold for OTT, TV and other digital platforms producer will recover its investment, Good Luck in getting decent collection and reviews for general public.

I recently watched this movie, and I must say, it was one of the most disappointing film experiences I've had in a long time. I went in hoping to be entertained-especially since it was marketed as a comedy-but unfortunately, the movie failed to deliver on almost every front. It was not just boring but also painfully unfunny. The overall concept of the comedy felt outdated, forced, and lacking in originality or depth.
From the very beginning, the pacing was incredibly slow. The opening scenes dragged on without building any real interest or connection to the characters. There was no hook-nothing compelling enough to make you want to invest your attention. The plot meandered with no clear direction, and it felt as though the writers were trying to stretch a very thin idea into a full-length feature. Unfortunately, that just doesn't work when your material isn't strong to begin with.
The central theme of the comedy was not only weak but also poorly executed. It relied heavily on clichés, recycled jokes, and slapstick humor that didn't land. In many scenes, it felt like the characters were trying too hard to be funny, which actually made it more awkward than amusing. Comedy should feel natural-it should either arise from clever writing or genuine situational irony. Sadly, this movie had neither.
There was an over-reliance on loud sound effects and exaggerated expressions to provoke laughter, which is a tactic that may appeal to children or very casual viewers but certainly not to anyone expecting intelligent or well-crafted humor. It felt like the film's creators underestimated the audience's ability to appreciate subtlety or wit, and instead opted for the lowest common denominator in comedic style.
One of the biggest problems was the lack of chemistry between the actors. Comedy often depends on timing, rapport, and delivery-and when the cast doesn't gel, it becomes painfully obvious. Most of the punchlines were delivered flatly, and the reactions between characters felt unnatural or overacted. There were long awkward pauses where laughter was clearly expected, but none came. I found myself cringing more than laughing, which is never a good sign in a comedy.
Another thing that stood out was how the jokes seemed disconnected from the story. Rather than being integrated smoothly into the plot, many comedic scenes felt like random skits inserted just to fill time. They didn't contribute to the character development or move the story forward. Instead of a cohesive comedy film, it felt more like a disjointed collection of poorly written sketches strung together with a very weak narrative.
In terms of direction and cinematography, there was nothing memorable or unique. The visuals were bland, and the editing didn't help the already weak pacing. Even the soundtrack felt generic and uninspired-just background noise without any real emotional or comedic impact.
To be fair, I do believe that comedy is subjective. What doesn't work for one person might work for someone else. But even with that in mind, there has to be a basic level of quality and coherence, and this movie simply didn't meet that bar. It lacked the creativity, smart writing, and polished performances that make for a successful comedy.
In the end, watching this movie felt like a waste of time. It had potential-perhaps with better writing, tighter direction, and a more engaging comedic premise, it could have been something enjoyable. But as it stands, it's a bland, forgettable experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for quality entertainment or genuine laughs.
There are far better comedy films out there that respect the audience's intelligence and time. This one just isn't worth it. Unless you're incredibly bored and have absolutely nothing else to watch, I'd suggest skipping this movie altogether. I rarely write such critical reviews, but this film genuinely left me disappointed and annoyed. Hopefully, the creators take this feedback seriously and put more effort into future projects, because audiences deserve better.

This was horrible. It is the definition of horrible. After a horrible Housefull 4, I thought it couldn't get worse, but Housefull 5 gives a whole new definition to the word Horrible. Housefull franchise just keep getting worse, they had the cast(minus the eye candy 5 actresses), but the jokes, story, music, acting everything else is just horrible in every way. The jokes don't land because they had no essence, timing or acted, even Akshay was horrendous and this is his forte, he wasn't funny for a second. So you can imagine how terrible everything else was. They stashed in some poor female sexist and sexual jokes and those were neither sexy nor funny(I'd rather watch Masti franchise for this).
Fun fact, in my life I have watched 3 most horrible movies, Race 3 Mrs serial killer Housefull 5 And somehow Jacqueline is in all 3 of them.
I kindly request you, please don't watch it. Please don't 🙏🏻

Didn't watch part 2, and after watching Housefull 5A, I'm glad I didn't. This movie is an assault on common sense cringe, loud, irritating, and unbelievably stupid. The jokes don't land, the plot is a chaotic mess, and the acting feels like everyone's just going through the motions for a paycheck. It tries too hard to be funny and ends up being exhausting. Watching this felt like sitting through a never ending torture . Total waste of time. Save yourself the pain and skip it. Every scene is a huge pain to watch, no logic and really bad conedy. One star is generous as there was no other lower option.

Housefull 5 had a lot of big stars, so I expected it to be a fun and entertaining movie. But sadly, it was a huge letdown. The plot didn't make much sense and felt like it was just copied from old movies. The comedy, which is supposed to be the main part of the Housefull series, was almost missing. Most jokes were not funny at all, and the timing felt off.
With so many famous actors in one film, they could have done something really great. But it seems like the makers didn't put in enough effort. It looked more like they made the movie just for money.
In the end, Housefull 5 is a movie that fails to entertain. The weak story, lack of good comedy, and wasted star cast make it hard to enjoy. If you are hoping for laughs or something memorable, this movie is not worth your time.

Please don't waste on money on such cheap no comedy and no story atall! Chat gpt would have written a better script and jokes. Honestly! The star caste is the one, who are either sitting home or have no hits in years!
Directors have objectified women and skin show and such cheap humour! When they say - " we are showing on screen how society is!" no sir! The society is not this sick! We really encourage movies like chaava! That's what the society wants to see. No wonder the better actors who dont fall into this cheap adult comedy are the ones who have respect. It's the worst movie ive seen ! I am so frustrated with this. Will never waste my money on this franchise. Its a cheap stunt to turn black money into white nothing else!
Really! Akshay kumar being the biggest star in the star cast- should have some decency to turn down such vulgar script! Didnt expect this from today's actos who have moral responsibility to carry with their work.

It's hard to know where to begin with Housefull 5, because there's barely anything that can be called a "movie" here. From the very first scene to the last, this film is a painful reminder of how low Bollywood can go when creativity is completely missing and replaced with cheap laughs, overused tropes, and a desperate need to make money off a dying franchise.
First and foremost, let's talk about the story-because it doesn't exist. There is no proper plot, no flow, and no logic to anything that happens. It feels like a bunch of random scenes thrown together with the hope that loud background music and bright colors will distract the audience. Spoiler alert: it doesn't. The comedy is not just bad, it's embarrassing. Most jokes revolve around vulgar innuendos, repeated gags from the earlier movies, and lazy one-liners that don't land. The writing is lazy and the dialogues are cringe-worthy.
The level of vulgarity and cheapness in Housefull 5 is honestly shocking, especially in a time when audiences expect smarter, more meaningful content. The movie relies heavily on sexist jokes, objectification of women, and even includes disturbing scenes that involve mistreatment of animals for "comedy." This kind of humor is outdated, tone-deaf, and just plain wrong. What's even more disappointing is that no one in the production seemed to care. They went ahead with it, proudly.
The acting? Nonexistent. Every actor seems to be sleepwalking through their role, with zero effort or emotion. Akshay Kumar, once known for his comic timing, looks completely uninterested and just cashing in on his name. In fact, he might be the worst part of the movie-not because he's bad (which he is), but because we expect at least something from a veteran like him. Unfortunately, what we get is overacting, forced expressions, and zero charm. The supporting male cast is equally bad, turning every scene into an over-the-top mess.
The female characters are even worse off. They're not even given proper roles or personalities-they exist only to look good in short dresses, scream in high-pitched voices, and dance in unnecessary song sequences. None of the actresses are given anything to do beyond being "eye candy," and it's honestly sad to see talented performers wasted like this. It feels like the film industry hasn't moved an inch when it comes to how women are portrayed.
The direction is clueless, the editing is choppy, and the visual effects are straight-up cartoonish. You can't tell if this movie is supposed to be a spoof, a circus, or just a joke that went too far. Even the songs are forgettable, thrown in just to fill time. There's nothing in this movie that holds your attention, unless you're watching to see how bad things can really get.
The most shocking part is that Housefull 5 had a massive budget, a star cast, and the legacy of a once-successful comedy series. But instead of using that to create something fresh or funny, they've made a film that's not just bad-it's insulting to the audience. It feels like they don't respect the viewer's time or intelligence. It's loud, annoying, and completely meaningless.
In short, Housefull 5 is a low point for everyone involved. It's not just a bad movie-it's a complete failure on every level. If this is the future of Bollywood comedy, we're in serious trouble.
Avoid this movie at all costs. It's a waste of time, money, and brain cells. The only good thing is that it might finally put an end to the Housefull franchise. Let's hope they bury it and never bring it back.

It's rare for a fifth film in a series to still feel fresh and genuinely fun, but Housefull 5 pulls it off. The franchise has clearly found its formula and continues to polish it with every new entry. The humor is rooted in tried-and-tested gags, but they're delivered with such energy that they still work. The cast seems to be having a blast, and that enthusiasm is contagious. From wild disguises to epic misunderstandings, it's all played with the same comic commitment. You know what kind of ride you're in for-and it delivers. Loud, lively, and unapologetically over-the-top. This is exactly what the title promises: a house full of laughter. A perfect end-or continuation-to the series.

Just finished the 5A version, it was not bad, few good comedy punchlines that landed pretty well, but there were lots of dubbing in it and it's very noticeable, especially between Jackie and Sanjay. Too much objectification of the girls especially Soundarya who is the newcomer. It is just a one time watch though. Absolutely loved the intro mashup of the old songs, felt very nostalgic.
I enjoyed the murder mystery element, you get straight into it from the very beginning. It's not a great film and the best is still Housefull (2010) the OG but compared to Housefull 4, this is much better. Songs were okay-ish, my favourite was Qayamat and though I am not a fan of Laal Pari, it felt very out of place, it was so random af. The plot was average but why was Johnny Lever named Batuk in this.. isn't that supposed to Boman Irani?
Overall, it is an average one time watch movie with a "killer" twist. The ending was just hysterical and peak brainrot (in a good way) in fact this is the best ending in the entire franchise. The jokes may not be that funny, but you'll still get a few giggles here and there and you'll be fully entertained for sure. Go watch it in your nearest cinemas.
My personal rankings: Housefull 1> Housefull 5> Housefull 3> Housefull 2> Housefull 4.

"Housefull 5" is the fifth installment in the Housefull franchise.
It features a massive star cast, including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, Soundarya Sharma, Johnny Lever, and more.
Despite the big names, the acting and performances often feel over-the-top and cringeworthy.
The movie comes in two versions - A and B - with the killer and the final few minutes differing in both, which is a creative idea but not executed very well.
With a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes, it includes 4 songs that total around 15 minutes-some of which feel unnecessary and cringe-inducing.
There are also nostalgic elements like monkeys and parrots, reminiscent of the original Housefull, but the writing and dialogues are poorly done, and the storyline had the potential to be much better.
The comedy feels forced and rarely lands; most of the so-called funny moments end up being dull or predictable.
The bromance between Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt was one of the few highlights, but the dialogues and sound didn't sync well, likely due to bad dubbing.
An extended version with Nana Patekar started off promising, but a random song abruptly killed the suspense and flow.
Overall, I didn't enjoy the movie much, but it still had a few entertaining moments. The movie can be inappropriate for the kids.
Not the worst film ever, but far from what it could've been.

Don't watch this movie literally full of cringe and 3rd class acting, story and concept. They should stop making nonsense movie like this. The performances were universally phoned in. Akshay Kumar, usually the anchor, seemed bored. Riteish Deshmukh tried, but even his efforts were swallowed by the sheer awfulness around him. Everyone else was just... there, reciting lines without an ounce of conviction.
The songs? Forgettable background noise. The direction? Non-existent. The editing? Jagged and jarring. I kept checking my watch, praying for it to end. It felt less like a movie and more like a punishment.
If you're looking for an escape, a laugh, or even just some mindless entertainment, please, for the love of all that is good, avoid "Housefull 5." You'll leave feeling robbed of your time, your money, and any shred of hope for the future of comedy. This isn't just a bad movie; it's an insult to intelligence. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

After years away, the Housefull franchise returns with the same tired formula that feels like watching your uncle forward WhatsApp jokes at a family gathering. The jokes feel like recycled WhatsApp forwards, and yes, the rumours are absolutely true - this feels like a greatest hits compilation of previous Housefull films' worst moments.
Akshay Kumar carries the entire film on his shoulders, though even his comic timing can't salvage this mess. Everyone else just feels like part of the chaos crew, with Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan looking particularly lost amidst the mayhem. The film's plot felt cluttered due to the presence of too many actors, turning what should be ensemble comedy into overcrowded chaos.
Tarun Mansukhani's direction lacks any semblance of structure or timing. The screenplay is riddled with pointless sequences that add no value and only stretch the runtime. The film's reliance on double-meaning jokes feels desperately outdated, and it was bashed for its vulgar jokes and alleged objectification of women.
The much-hyped dual endings gimmick feels like a marketing stunt rather than creative storytelling. Housefull 5 proves that sometimes franchises should know when to stop.
Rating: 4/10 (Akshay's effort can't mask recycled humour and chaotic execution)

I usually don't write reviews, but after watching this absolute mess, I felt like I had to warn others. If you're thinking about watching this film, don't. Save yourself the time, the money, and the headache. I genuinely regret my decision. I was standing there, deciding between this and an animated movie that was playing at the same time. I should have gone with the animated film-that would've been a far better use of my time.
Let's start with the writing-if you can even call it that. It honestly felt like it was written by a 10-year-old who just discovered how to string words together. There was no logic, no structure, no emotional pull, and absolutely no sense of humor. I didn't laugh once-not a single scene brought a smile to my face. It's supposed to be a comedy, but it fails miserably on every front. I've seen school plays with more thought and better dialogue than this.
And the acting? Let's not even go there. When the writing is this weak, I can't even blame the actors entirely. But seriously, the performances were flat, forced, and forgettable. The entire cast seemed like they were just going through the motions, maybe even aware of how ridiculous the script was. There was no chemistry, no connection, and no energy. It felt like everyone just showed up for a paycheck.
One thing that really annoyed me-and I've noticed this more and more in recent Indian media-is the lazy overuse of women as props. It's like filmmakers assume just throwing a bunch of pretty faces on screen is enough to entertain the audience. It's insulting to viewers and especially to women. There's no character depth, no meaningful roles-just shallow appearances designed to distract from the lack of actual content. News flash: that's not entertainment. That's just lazy and outdated thinking.
Honestly, the entire film is a joke, and not the funny kind. It's frustrating that people are still putting out such low-effort work and expecting audiences to pay good money for it. It almost feels like a scam. I paid for a movie ticket expecting to be entertained, or at least mildly amused, and instead I walked out feeling like I got robbed-robbed of my money, my time, and my mood.
To anyone reading this: think twice. Actually, think three or four times before watching this garbage. If you're in the theater deciding what to watch and you see this as an option, walk away. Go watch literally anything else. A documentary, an old classic, an animated movie-even scrolling on your phone for two hours would be more entertaining than sitting through this.
I don't usually say things this harsh, but this film earned every word. It's not just a bad movie-it's a waste of time, effort, and film reel. There's nothing redeemable about it, nothing memorable, and certainly nothing worth recommending. The worst part is that it could have been a good decision to go to the movies that day. I was excited, I had free time, I paid for a ticket-and then I had to sit through this trainwreck.
Please, for the sake of your sanity and wallet, do not waste your time on this. I wish someone had warned me earlier. Consider this your warning.

Not recommended, watch something else.
Where did the budget go?
Even if you leave brain at home , you will still keep cringing throughout the movie.
Acting, Writing is horrible. Worst than Humshakals.
Whatever crumbles of story is there has been copied from some Adam Sandler movie.
Staring at the sky or looking outside the window for the same duration as the film would be 100x more entertaining.
Even Brain Rot has some standards.
It's not so bad it's good kinda film, it's just out an out bad. Is it as bad as Tees Maar Khaan ? That's a good question, actually Not sure which was more torture.
Downvote.
