This one wasnt that bad acting is average u laugh and some heart warming moments parents r clueless but didnt take away from the show the story not that bad better then other sitcoms with all their politics pushed down your throat casual people will like it a lot
A tween focused sit-com.
Has its moments where you think the writers have just nailed it, then other moments where you know they are writing for an audience who doesn't know any better, and they treat the audience as imbeciles. For example, accessing other people's personal information from government agencies, by simply 'sending away' for the files. In real life, there would be almost no way to access that kind of information. There were times where it just was not based in reality.
But it is unique compared to most tween shows, and season 2 especially shows how some relationships can be complicated. The acting does a decent job, but don't expect too much laughs. The comedy is laugh-track induced, very basic situational humor, most of what could have been written by anyone's dad. But sometimes, just sometimes, it hits the mark.
Look, it is what it is.... a tween show. I really enjoyed it though
I clicked on No Good Nick thinking it was going to be a fun and innocent family sitcom. But the more I watched, the more that the story peeled away the surface layers and uncovered something far more dark and complex. The show may not be for young kids seeing as there are scenes with alcohol, swearing, and basically any criminal act Nick is up to, but the writing was phenomenal along with the acting and even smaller details like the wardrobe for each character (episode 15 is where the importance of wardrobe really shines). I am a 17 year old girl so my perspective differs from other reviews I've seen before. I felt a connection with each of the younger characters like Molly, Jeremy, and Nick. The show embodies the concept that there is no good guy or bad guy. It becomes a mind game for the characters as suspicion grows, and for the audience as well when deciding who to root for. This twist on the sitcom genre was very intriguing to experience and I hope that I'll see more content soon.
I love this show. The best thing about it is the premise. It's great fun watching Nick bond with her foster family while simultaneously robbing them. The actress who plays Nick is actually really good.
The show is sometimes cheesy, but as someone who grew up watching and enjoying sit-coms in the early 2000s cheesy doesn't bother me.
This show is fun. The lead actress is great. Definitely deserves a watch.
