999: On the Front Line

The program itself is interesting but not truthful when it comes to waiting times for ambulances. In my case I called an ambulance in Birmingham, they put me through to 111 who triaged me, I had an acute pain in my chest which felt like 10 out of 10, they advised me that they could not get an ambulance to me for 9 hours and told me to get a taxi, I got a taxi to Good Hope Hospital where I was diagnosed with a clot in my central mesmeric vein, I am lucky to be alive! The ambulance crews are not always able to get to you as fast as they depict in the program, I find the program very misleading and false.
