Unplanned: La storia vera di Abby Johnson

I'm not sure why this movie was rated R, but it does contain about 3 sequences that will make you squeamish if you don't like the sight of blood. Pure Flix has come a long way and this movie is well produced, timely, and potent. It will make you laugh, cry, think, and maybe even squirm a little bit. Also, the content is incredibly timely. Abby's story is intense and the actress portraying her does a superb job. Very few cheesy moments in this film--it deserves to be taken seriously.

Ignore the bad rap. Don't pay attention to the negative comments. Go with a clean skate and make your own opinion. This film is not about religion. This film is about the right to live of all children. All lives matter!

At the beginning of the movie, there is an amazing ultrasound scene of an abortion that will stay with you forever. It should have been repeated later in the movie for dramatic purposes. Script, acting, and direction are all solid if uninspired, but there is surprisingly little emotional impact until the very end. The material is so powerful that the movie should be a must see. Despite "R" rating, should be shown to all teens in high school.

This story isn't for the faint of heart but it is for anyone with a heart. Though hard to watch at times, Abby's story is one that demands attention.

This movie shows some of the practices of the abortion industry and the grotesque nature of their work. This movie is good for anyone who is pro-choice. This will be uncomfortable for them to watch but good for them to see. It is also good for pro-lifers to watch as a way to affirm their beliefs. Great acting and good progression. Perhaps people who are not religious may find it too heavy handed on the faith perspective, but this is Abby's story. She is a religious person so it works as her personal testimony.
