Give or Take

This film was funny in parts that were not meant to be funny. It was refreshingly unpredictable. Its modern family drama is relatable and real. The fathers partner, Ted, delivers a wonderful performance. This movie is a delight. I look forward to Director Riccio's next movie.

Wow, where do I start. This heart felt refreshing movie almost leaves you wanting more when it comes to an end. The Director really took time and saw things through as the acting the visual shots and the storytelling all provide a perfect blend into one beautiful storyline. I've watched this movie three times and it just gets better each and every time this is a film that's perfect for any situation and highly recommended. This Director I will definitely keep an ion for future projects because the mind and creativity is next level. Kudos to the casting crew for such an amazing job and Film that they created..

It's rare these days to come away from watching a movie feeling calm and good. This is one. Tha acting is authentic and honest, the script does the sensitive subject matter proud. It's well worth watching. And I'm as biased as you can get!

Give or Take is a refreshing take how people can adjust to a mid-life crisis. The film is easy to watch as the Cape Cod scenes are charming, the music is appealing and the humor is witty. Louis Cancelmi is especially droll is his role as Terrance.

It's easy to relate to this movie because the characters are well cast and believable. The pushy real estate agent, the girl who grew up on the Cape and now tends bar at the trendy town watering hole, the preppy upper cruster buying their beach house trophy home. We've met these people before in our real lives, so they make the plot more authentic and credible.

The film's best quality is watching both Martin and Ted's character evolution. Confronted with loss of life, they thoughtfully challenge their initial assumptions and become more complete people.

Give or Take is movie that will make you smile, laugh and reflect. I strongly recommend it.

I happened upon this movie at the library (on Cape Cod), and found it incredibly engaging--in fact, actually addictive. Maybe it's because I have to return it to the library soon, but I don't think so. It's actually quite a warm, compelling, and funny story with top notch acting, which would make me want to watch it over and over again, even if I didn't live on the Cape!
