I don't watch trailers for Telugu movies and the only thing I knew were actors. I had no expectations from this one. Das character is written and performed well by Nani. But Dev character was stereotypical and Nagarjuna didn't capture it well as it was weird to see him kill ppl brutally. Few songs were good. Together both actors were good which was the lifeline of the film. Comedians like Vennela Kishore and actresses didn't add to the movie to make it better. A one-time watch.

I won't write too much to make it look crictics like review. Amazing story, great cast, eyes-stuck cinematography and very entertaining acting by actors. Wonderfully represented. Must watch.
It could ave been better. Dragged a lot by unnecessary comedy. Emotion at towards the end and then a mediocre climax. Both the talents are wasted. Nagarjuna does his best. He is legend and he proved it. Nani is not bad. Everything is fine otherwise the long length.

May be it is due to the dosage of mafia movies nag has done like ragada, don, super, don sreenu,Bhai makes nagarjuna's looks and acting seem routine and obvious which lacks freshness but nanis performance moves our state of mind from boring and routine to slightly interesting. Routine and common first half screenplay where at one point we doesnt seem story moving forward. Naveen chandra and sharath kumar were wasted.

One of the funniest films I have seen in a while. The bromance between Das and Deva is beautiful and funny.
Plot: When father of Don Deva (Nagarjuna Akkineni) is killed, Deva comes out of shadows to exact revenge. And after being shot he meets Das (Nani), a naive idealistic doctor down on his luck. This meeting changes both their lives.
The film starts like a gangster film and gives the impression of an action film. Lots of character and events are shown that are not very interesting and could have been edited out. The film gets interesting after 45mins mark. I am happy that I stuck to it till this point because once the momentum starts the comedy between Deva and Das is amazing. There are lots of laugh out loud moments in the film. Nagarjuna Akkineni played the role of Deva with ease, he looked like he was having fun. Nani did justice to his role as well. The lead actresses did not have much to work on but they looked really pretty. I liked the songs Chettu Kinda Doctor and Vaaru Veeru.
At its core Devadas is light light-hearted comedy film to enjoy with family and friends. The lead duo does an excellent job carrying the film, they are the strength of this film. The film does not take itself seriously and all the drama scenes are downplayed. There are some action scenes. Also few twists here and there.
I had lots of laugh watching Devadas. Though it takes some time to get started, it is worth sticking for first 45 minutes.

Just saw the movie first show ever in IS. Its a great movie. Nani killed the show. His acting skills enacted again. Proven to be the best natural star. Nagarjuna garu lived in the character. Great screen play and Manisharma garu is back with bang. BGM was super

Good movie with best comedy delivered by Nani and Nagarjuna, Nani gave his best performance in this movie, BGM is also one of the plus point for the movie, story of the movie could've been more strong with more content. Overall one can watch this movie for entertainment purpose and for bromance between Nag-Nani

Devadas, directed by Sriram Adittya, is a Telugu-language action-comedy that leans heavily into the charm of its two leads, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Nani. On the surface, it's a tale of opposites attracting - a sincere doctor and a feared gangster - but beneath the surface, it's a lighthearted exploration of friendship, redemption, and personal growth, told with flair, humor, and a good dose of action.
The story follows Dr. Das (Nani), a kind-hearted and honest doctor who struggles to make a name for himself after getting kicked out of a prestigious hospital. Life takes a wild turn when he unwittingly treats Deva (Nagarjuna), a powerful and elusive underworld don who's injured during a secret mission. The two form an unlikely bond - Deva, drawn to Das's innocence and compassion, and Das, reluctantly fascinated by Deva's dangerous lifestyle.
The heart of the film lies in the bromance between these two central characters. Nagarjuna plays Deva with suave charisma - a stylish don with a sense of honor and flair. He effortlessly brings both menace and warmth to his role, making Deva a likable antihero. Nani, as always, shines with his natural comic timing, sincerity, and relatability. His portrayal of Dr. Das grounds the film, providing a perfect counterbalance to Nagarjuna's larger-than-life presence.
What works best in Devadas is the chemistry between the leads. Their interactions are filled with humorous banter, genuine emotion, and an underlying sense of mutual respect. These dynamics are what elevate the film above its otherwise predictable storyline.
The film also features Rashmika Mandanna as a journalist and Aakanksha Singh as Das's love interest. While both actresses deliver solid performances, their characters feel somewhat underdeveloped and primarily serve as romantic diversions rather than integral parts of the narrative. Vennela Kishore provides additional comic relief, although some of his scenes lean into slapstick territory.
From a technical standpoint, the film is polished. Cinematography by Shamdat Sainudeen adds a stylish sheen, especially in the action sequences and the lavish set pieces. The music by Mani Sharma is energetic and complements the tone, with a few catchy numbers that help break up the pace. The background score adds to the intensity of key scenes without being overpowering.
However, Devadas isn't without its flaws. The story, while engaging, is fairly formulaic and follows a path familiar to many buddy-comedy-action films. The emotional beats are somewhat surface-level, and certain plot developments - particularly in the second half - feel rushed or too convenient. The villains, though competent, lack depth, and their motivations are standard fare. A tighter screenplay and more nuanced antagonists could have added to the film's impact.
Despite these shortcomings, Devadas succeeds in its primary goal: to entertain. It's not a film that tries to reinvent the genre, but it uses its strengths - the lead performances, light comedy, stylish action, and emotional undertones - to deliver a fun, enjoyable experience. It's a commercial film that knows its audience and plays to its strengths.
In a time when many action films try to go darker or overly serious, Devadas opts for warmth and wit. It's a breezy watch that balances heart and humor, anchored by two stars who clearly enjoy sharing the screen.
Final Verdict: If you're in the mood for a light-hearted action-comedy with strong lead performances and a charming core friendship, Devadas is worth a watch. It may not be groundbreaking, but it delivers a satisfying mix of laughs, action, and emotional moments.

It's definitely not boasting to say that Devadas is well known name in Indian household. Right from 50s, movies were made almost all the '___woods'.
When Devadas is again announced in Telugu, where Nagarjuna is the lead while his father immortalized the character earlier, it was thought is it worth a risk.
Whereas when we book a seat to checkout Nagarjuna's Devadas, a major relief is it's not "The DEVADAS", it's a Devadas.
And here comes Nani onto share the screen as Das with Nag as Deva. The story is the fight between good and bad. The villain is just a role with hardly 3appearances overall. And nonetheless the idea good and bad was still kept intact. An innocent good guy striving to change egoist bad guy is the theme and handled very well.
1. Producer Ashwini Dutt's project 2. The title 3. Nag and Nani combination Handled the script with maturity keeping upto the tag of Vyjayanti movies. An extra star was subtracted for few glitches.

I don't know telugu and I watched it without subtitles and still I like that movie. It is completely different from other telugu movies. No mass and nice comedy, completely entertaining movie.
2 main characters in this movie ( Deva and Das ) and well balanced by young and dynamic director ( Sri Ram Adittya) . Watchable movie for everyone at least once recommended and background music is good .

It's a nice and entertainment film. So many heart touching scenes which is superbly acted by my dear nani sir. I am not at all interested to watch telugu movies. But by watching eecha and gang leader I became his diehard fangirl from Kerala🤗🤗❤❤❤. And deva is also nice and very much flexible frndship between them. And mainly like the way of it's going and mainly acting of nani is like really as a doctor and friend of deva. We can't tell about his acting by two three words or sentence. Due to my mad I have watched all his film including dasara in release date. So all must watch this film. That much nice.

Fun clean family entertainer. Production is good. Acting is nice. Comedy is pretty good. Run time could be shorter, but it'sa decent watch.
Of us had great expectations with this movie. Coming from a debutant director who made of a career out of critising movies in his TV shows, he had a really tough challenge up his sleeve.
He deserves an applause!!!! Come on guys, making a movie on a subject involving an eight month old movie, and getting the right expressions when necessary is a tough task. Also, it featured Akshay Kumar, arguably one of the most versatile actors of this generation. The combo, along with Rietesh and Fardeen, does well in tickling the funny bone, at most of the places.
Now, u may ask why didn't it get a 10/10, if the script is well-essayed and actors of such talent give their best?????
