I can't understand why people are so odd and weird in their reviews, why are they INSISTING that there should be a romantic relationship between the girl and the lawyer in order for the movie to be an appealing one?? So freaking odd! The girl in not even 16 for gods sake, and the man is in his mid 40's; jeez!
I find the story quite interesting, the acting of main lead actors was great, I truly enjoyed the movie and had learnt many things about autism and their struggles.
It was very touching story, and the ending was great.
This movie is not a romantic genre, it's a drama and quite a lovely one, if you people are expecting some romance go watch another movie, otherwise I suggest you watch this, I really enjoyed it.

What is wrong with the people shipping an underage student with a 40+ lawyer?
Anyway the plot is somewhat predictable but still an enjoyable movie. Worth watching once!

Disappointed with the user reviews here but anyways, I loved the movie. It was kinda simple but eventful at the same time. I didn't expect the plot-twist until the character was getting suspicious. Great acting as well. I didn't really understood autism but this movie opened my eyes.
9/10 !

Be patient and watch this through to the end. It is a rewarding movie. A good look at autism in a more touching way than Rain Man. Jung Woo Sung sensitively plays a lawyer grappling with some issues about doing the right thing and defending a housekeeper accused of murder. The autistic witness to the crime is played by a good young actress. Some parts of the trial seem theatrical but it's watchable. The message also is a little preachy but it makes for a satisfying outcome that is predictable but it is how you get there that counts.

The plot itself is not particularly enchanting. No twist in the story that would surprise you.
The defend lawyer could see the opposite side witness as he wants? This is quite unthinkable. The autistic witness is tested by the male lead, but not doctor or medical professional? This is not logical.
The autistic girl does well. But she is a bit too responsive when conversing with others, showing too much understanding to the words of others., which an autistic patient will not.
The male lead is handsome and acts well. But the story is too straight forward, lacking up and downs to attract our eye balls.
An alright movie though.

Personal Rating: 7/10 (worth watching)
Looking at the other reviews for this film I feel like I need to address something right off the bat, this is not a romantic movie. If you came here looking to watch a relationship blossom between an older gentleman and young girl... this is certainly not it. A note of finality on this subject, the movie is categorized as "Crime, Drama" and that's exactly what it is.
Now that we've got that out of the way, onto the actual review. This movie is engaging from the get-go, barely giving you enough time to breathe before the inciting accident takes place, starting the whirlwind that is this movie. For a movie that's 2hr and 9mins long, the pacing was quite nice with some areas a little waning but always holding enough action to keep you hooked. It utilized the long runtime well with all the main characters being fleshed out nicely and having very fulfilling character arcs! The wrap-up at the end of this movie was one of the nicest I'd seen in quite some time.
But the reason I would implore you to watch this movie isn't the actors, story arcs, music nor cinematography. It's the journey you go on with the main character, Soon-ho. This is a movie about overcoming prejudice, prejudice you might not even be aware you have. Yet it gives you so many miny victories throughout, signs of progress and deeper understanding that you never feel so guilty you have to turn the movie off. In the end, it leaves you with much to think about yet real-world advice to help. As someone who has a few family members on the autism spectrum, I think this film handled the delicate subject tastefully and politely.
This is the first Korean film I've ever watched and it set the bar quite high. The casting and acting were fantastic. The music was tasteful and yet not too bold, really complimenting whatever was on screen; there were a few abrupt cuts of the music but that can be chalked up to the editors' fault, or perhaps, style. I did watch the movie with English subtitles and was honestly quite disappointed in the translation. There were many moments where you could tell the actor or actress meant so much more than the English translation, also there were instances where because of the basic translation a few of the emotional beats weren't as impactful as I wish they would've been, again not blaming the performances but instead the subtitles and my complete lack of speaking Korean.
If you're still sitting on the fence, watch this movie. Soon-ho's father alone makes it worth it.

I do not really understand about asperger syndrome but how the bond between the autis girl and the lawyer built was nicely told in this movie.
Jung Woo-sung is undeniably a great actor. I watched him in moment to remember, musa great warrior, ugly and the.....(I forget the title). He always plays his role totally.
Kim Nang-gi is young talented actor.
Perfect combination for a very good movie

The story is nice to introduce this mental illness. It also asking lawyers to be more humane but that is not realistic because nobody will behave like in this movie. Moreover the lawyer situation as in Korea society is consider in tremendous problem. Even in other countries, there will be no such person to react this way.
Its sad that such a good story the writer and director refused to crack more brains to make a better logical and realistic conclusion. It showed that this is another Korean government supported projects towards society.

Loved it . I think i shed a tear drop or 2. The plot twist at the end was the cherry on top.
Though story a little bit predictable but I loved this good vs evil movie, it's a nicely constructed courtroom procedural, plaudits to the male and female lead. Acting and last trial scene suspenseful music was superb. At the end, it will definitely make your feel good.
If this doesn't make you a bit emotional, probably you've died, and they forgot to tell you.

Nice movie, slow paced but emotional and touching, but things like that almost never happen in reality. Ending would be better if he helps his gf to win her case. Its so ridiculous for some people's comment expecting the lawyer should have a relationship with the girl, a guy 46 years old having his own gf, 30 years older than the child should have a relationship together? Are these people complete idiots or what?
This is not a romance and this is not a boring predictable movie you're thinking one thing then you're left thinking something totally different. The girl is autistic but she's high functioning autistic.

I had to review this title literally minutes from watching it. I really enjoyed the story. It was hard to watch especially if you can relate and you will relate and if you do, the ending will tell you why. I loved the ending and how everything was wrapped. The acting was top notch. The story was perfectly put and handled with utmost care. Thank you to the people who worked on this movie and a special thank you to Jung Woo-sung and Kim Hyang-gi.
I like the movie for its ambience. The autism aspect, camera works, plot, and dialogues, all create a very emotional movie. Especially the ending. And the acting of Woo-Sung is so natural. He looks gorgeous, too. A young old man, he is.

Amazing and beautiful movie, everything is so good! The acting is so amazing, especially from a young actress, she was awesome. I don't know what is wrong with these comments where people wanted an older man to be with a young girl, that is so sick. Go people, whatch it and enjoy, amazing movie.

After watching the movie and reading all of those negative reviews . My first thoughts were WTF is wrong with people who are shipping for the love relationship between the two main lead characters and criticizing that it didn't happen. I mean The lawyer is in his 40's and the girl is just 15-16. I don't know about others, but from the start the movie gives more of a father daughter like vibes. He is always protective of her like a father figure. The movie also shows some light about the bads and goods of people with autism.

Great story, great acting. Hard not to care about the characters, the level of detail is really impressive.
Sure some parts may be exaggerated but they just help to tell a beautiful story about missunderstood people in a very asian style.
