Miami Heat

Terrible. I never stop a movie once I've started. I came very close during this one. Plot was logistically tangible but the acting/directing was tough to watch. The gunfight with corrupt police. The "talent". The "bad guys".... Yuck.

I don't know how to describe this movie. It's beyond words. But it was awful plain and simple. In fact it's beyond awful. And that me being polite about it.

This is the type of movie that I'd expect amateurs or untalented first year film school students would produce.

Acting is wooden by all, it was left wanting. The props look so fake - do knife blades suppose to be flexible? Hmm. And the editing is extremely bad. The story flow jumps all over the place.

VERDICT: Not even on a rainy day. Give it a big miss.

The negative comments by others about the script's leaden dialogue and wooden acting are generally smack on. The plot is quite familiar, having been done so many times. Sex traffickers screw up when one of the gals they snatch turns out to be the daughter of, or otherwise important to, one bad-ass dude who will take on the baddies, no matter how many there are.

Oleg Prudius will never beat out Liam Neeson for a variation on the Taken franchise, but he does have his own impressive "particular set of skills". His Yuri don't say much, but calmly does what heroic daddies gotta do in these flicks. Though born in the Ukraine, he went to college in the US on a sports scholarship, and has spent many years here. That indicates that Yuri's laconic style was a choice, rather than a lack of English fluency. When he's talking, it still ain't great. But the fight scenes, the hulking hero delivers plenty of the satisfying action low-budget mayhem seekers seek.

Perhaps the best feature is that this Ukrainian is kicking the asses of villains from many countries while his former countrymen are doing the same to Putin's invaders. If he's an example of their fighting forces, no wonder they're doing so much better than their foes expected.

I have no clue how some people here give this movie a 8 or even 9 star rating :D The "story" has been told a 100 times (father saves daughter), there's no acting what so ever, the editing and action scenes (if you can call it action scenes, it's slapp stick to me) are not even worthy a B movie. This is just a very terrible movie.

From the beginning where the band is playing and it's intertwined with scenes of the characters who will appear in this "movie," every minute of this is a pain to get through. We have a LONG opening credit sequence of the "actor's" names like it's some big name actor fest and it's a bunch of people you've never heard of with straight to DVD "credits" if you can even call them that. They keep flashing to supremely ugly women at a pool for some reason and when one of them was getting out of the pool, rubbing her hands up and down her body, I knew we were in trouble.

The acting and direction is so poor, it's hard to tell what's going on. We see one waitress at the pool being told to go to the bosses office. There's some pervert guy at the bar watching girls in the pool and all over and suddenly when the waitress gets to the boss's office, the pervert guy is already there. How did they manage that? Or was it just bad editing? (the latter).

The main guy cannot act and most people in this either can't act or overact. Worst are the "fight scenes" are so poorly done, I'm talking the type of fight scene you have with your buddies in the front yard when you're seven.

I couldn't get through this. I had to stop about a third of the way in. So poorly done and the constant music is just awful.

I'm still wondering why this was made.
